Game Of Thrones May Have Already Revealed The Night King's Identity Lorena: Night King is not the one Arya killed. This much I know.
Can anyone give me a single one example in the whole show where a white walker is harming a baby? Turning their eyes blue does not mean HURTING them. Think again. The white walkers are not the villains, but the forces of nature that fight against corrupted humans. In season 3 episode 8, last scene: the white walker could and should have killed Sam in a blink of an eye. Instead, hits Sam and goes towards the baby. The white walker's plan is ancient: to cleanse the world out of corrupted humans. Guess what: the Night King leaves Jon alone twice: once when he flees with the boat and once few days ago, with the dragon scene. The White Walker did not want to kill Bran. White Walkers don't want to kill honorable men. Sam is a very good character, so is Jon, so is Bran. Arya is not. She is full of revenge. So that's why he wanted to kill her. Tell me how many times did you see a walker sacrificing a baby? Never. Who did the walkers mostly killed? Wildlings. Remember the scene when Sam sees a walker for the first time! When Sam is left behind? The walker looks straight into his eyes and moves forward. Explain. The White Walkers are not the villains.
Now, ice and fire. Ice is not death. Ice is preserving LIFE! Fire is more destructive than ice. Actually, fire burns everything to the ground and turns everything to ashes, whereas ICE symbolizes triumph over Death. Immortality. Heat, fire, summer: symbols of rotting corpses, vermin, putrefaction. Ice is clean, crystal, cold, life can grow protected underneath snow, like winter protects life to come. I've seen more death and destruction on the human side rather than on the Others. And the zombies the Night King raises? Are dead corpses, ex-humans, ex-corrupted. There are 2 different ways they convert: babies, that are uncorrupted, turning their eyes blue, and humans, that are corrupted, raising from the dead.

I think The Night King is either the Mad King, or Rhaegar. I'm going more with the Mad King.
1)Neither body has proven to be properly disposed of, or traditionally burned in fire.
2)The Sigil of the Night King looks JUST like the Targaryen sigil, but upside-down, and still was lit by fire.
3)Daenerys even stated that ONLY Targaryens can ride dragons, guess who can ride a FREAKING ICE-DEAD ZOMBIE DRAGON! Oh yeah that's right! The NIGHT KING!
4)If the Night King were to be a Targaryen, it would make sense why they'd come to take back or claim the Iron throne. They would indeed have more of a right to it.
5)My BIGGEST reason for believing that the Night King is The MAD King, is because King Aerys was known to be a good man ONCE. His mind melted away after supposedly having dreams of FIRE AND BLOOD. I know this is a stretch but what if, WHAT IF the reason he started getting paranoid of even his closest family members and started going crazy in the head is because he saw his own fate play out WAY before it ever happened? What if he saw his daughter or grandson defeating him as the undead in his nightmares? I think that would drive ANY king mad, too.
PLUS!
6)The Night King has some sort of personal beef (aside from the obvious stuff) with the Three-Eyed Raven. What if the Three-Eyed Raven affected Aerys and made him see his own fate like HODOR did! That would turn anyone mad as well! And would explain why he wants to kill them so badly!

beside the fact that viserion is wight dragon, an animated dead dragon with no will of his own, the last long night ( when Azhor Ahai fought the Night King ) happened thousands of years ago probably before even the start of the Valyrian empire ( in which Targeryens were merely minor dragon lords among other more powerful dragonlords families ) additionally the Night King is most probably one of the First Men turned by the children of the forest against their own kind by inserting the dragon glass, until the children of the forest lost control of the white walkers, and since those of the blood of ancient Valyria are probably more kin to the Andals rather than the First Men I have doubt any real dragon blood existed in the man who became the Night King. I think it's more believable to say that the Night King was a Stark or an Umber or even a Bolton

I think the main question is why was the Knight king bent on killing Bran. What is brans significance. I thought it was strange that in 8. 3 he says hes going and then does his thing to worg into the crows but other than that has no indication of being any threat to the Night king at all. This episode would have been the best chance to expose Brans power. So why would the night king take the risk of presenting himself. He could have let his minions wipe out the entire army of the living without being anywhere near Winterfell, but it obviously required the night king be there to do the kill himself. I think the fact that nothing was answered in this episode leaves a lot more plot than just dethroning Cersi for the rest of the season.

Dead dragons don't count! Spirals are in every culture. So South American's are secret Celtics? Idiots! That said.
- My auntie is a secret Targaryen.
- Bronn is a secret Targaryen.
- I'm a secret Targaryen, I can so ride dragons.
- Papa Smurf. totally a secret Targaryen.
- Kunta Kinte, secret Targaryen
- Your momma. Not a secret Targaryen, I am!
- Arya. secret Targaryen.
- Samwell. secret Targaryen.
- Trump. definitely NOT a secret Targaryen. Targaryen's have normal sized hands, not baby hand!
- Lebron James. secret Targaryen.
And Finally: Everyone is a secret Targaryen! The mad king got it on. He was a horny bastard & hence why he wanted to burn them all!

What if night king is a greenseer, in brans vision leaf mentions that she puts the dragon glass because humans attacked, she never mentioned if the person binded to tree was a normal human. then as shown in the series when dragon glass Is put through a normal human(uncle benjen) he survives the night king magic n doesn't turns whight. So the person in vision might not be normal human, also when night king touches caraster's babies they turn into wight, whereas when he touches bran he doesn't becomes a wight. So maybe dragon glass works differently on human n greenseers(whereas kills wights), also night King's power works differently on greenseers n humans

The night king is the 13th Lord commander of the night's watch.
Now let's say bran wargs into the past to try and stop the night king from being made hypothetically the person he wargs in to is the very person that becomes the night king When the dragon glass is placed into his chest it locks bran into the body the night king. raising the dead powers are brans warg powers amplified through time and magic. And with the warg powers he is able to control the dragon to fly it.
Of course once John realizes this and stabs bran in the heart his sword burst into flames as he pulls it out Shattering the night king and a dragon into ice shards.

The night King had red hair when he was mortal, I don't know why people are still having a hard time with this, there's a scene that shows the night King being created, in the scene it shows a group of the children of the forest one of them is the same one that interacts with Brandon as he's to become the three-eyed Raven, she takes a piece of dragon glass and plunges it straight into his chest turning him into the night King, later on the children of the forest then use the same type of method in magic to save benjen Stark from becoming an Undead soldier.

Does the phrase only a Targaryen can ride a dragon apply to the Night King if the Night King turned the dragon after it was killed? I'm pretty sure he can ride anything he turns, regardless of previous rules or standards. The dragon is dead and technically isnt a true dragon anymore, so the rules shouldn't apply anymore. Would it apply to Euron Greyjoy too who has a dragonbinder? Don't forget about everyone who was fighting with Jon beyond the wall against the Night King. They all rode a dragon out of there to get away.

I have no idea who might be the Night King. he might be a Targaryen or from some other house.
But to back it up with the dragon riding reason, I doubt that.
When Drogon looked at Jon closely. he allowed Jon to touch him. there was a detailed look between the two. And later proved that Jon is a Targaryen.
Viseryen was killed and then converted to Ice Dragon. he already became a puppet of the Night King. so it's not a proof to support that Night King is a Targaryen.
