Why Game Of Thrones Fell Apart At The End Barry: So basically Dani couldn't have strategically put a choke hold on King's Landing with all of the artillery and firepower literally from her armies and dragons? I mean its just rediculous. Dani could have basically took a piece of King's Landing per day if she wanted to. The Lannisters would have been surrounded, and would have given up eventually. That Golden Company wouldnt have lasted against Dani's armies or leadership for a week. Dani's armies could have just marched into the city, and just took it over.
Dani should have given up the crown to John and been the Queen. Her character should have kept her compassion, sweeter side, and justice seeking ways til the end. This dark dictator side of the character was just all wrong. John and Dani should have had their romance continue, have marriage, kids, and a kingdom that was actually an honorable one unlike in generations past in Westeros. Bran would have been a better Hand to King John. Having Sansa be the Queen of the North was completely wrong as well. She should have been just the Lady Of Winterfell, and Warden Of The North.

It's driving me nuts that everyone says that the problem with the final season was that it was rushed. Yes, that was a problem. But still, I could overlook that. It's the results, the pay-offs, the fates that have me pissed. The Night King, could we not have given him a better reason to be storming the south then to just get Bran? Could we have had him get in a fight with John, about to strike a death blow, then have Arya come in for the kill? Cersai needed to die a horrible death, Jamie should not have been there with her. Bran shouldn't have been King. Danny if killing civilians at King's Landing should've only killed the civilians Cersai surrounded herself with in the Red Keep and she did it out of rage to get to Cersai, not waste a huge amount of time napalming KL when her target was clearly across King's Landing inside the Red Keep. and the worst abysmal part of Season 8 is the pay off to John being a Targaryn never happened. A couple people found out. never panned out, Never had to struggle with the idea of taken the throne out of good. Just awful.

I suspected her from season 1. I highly suspected the dragon queen was mad in season 5. When she cooked the Tyrels in season 7 I was absolutely certain she would lose her cookies by the end of the show. Frankly I don't know how anyone was surprised by this. It had been building up since season one. Her flaws were shown, slightly corrected, then got worse where she needed guidance, and snapped in s7-e5. Her cruelty was shown in season 1 when she let Draco dump gold on her brother and she experienced schadenfreud. A good empathetic person wouldn't do that to anyone.
Sure some weird things in the show like the super arrow that shot the dragon down and others of the like. But overall I liked the ending.
Could it have been done better? Certainly. But it wasn't bad. It just wasn't as good as it should have been.

OMG! Did no one get this.
I have 2 main issues
1. I expected Bran to fight the night king with his brain vision powers. As he was after him.
And an epic battle
2. Why no body asks
Why the hell did they go behind the wall to catch a walker only to give in to Cerci's demands, loose a dragon for nothing and Cerci actually mocking Walker.
Wouldn't it be smart to take 3 dragons and impress Cerci with power than something she does not understand?
Danny's part was sad ber sad but I get it she is like Alexander the great who fought to combine the ancient world far ahead of his time. People did not understand him then and killed him so they did to Danny.
Madness was fans being ideots. Why should daughter be same as father? Non sense

From the start, Jon was setup to fight the White Walkers, who were framed to be the true threat. By the end of season 4, he was shown to have natural fighting skills. From season 5 on, Jon was shown to have natural leadership skills and was setup to fight the Night King. And then they killed him off and resurrected basically to save humanity. From season 6 on, Jon was confirmed to be the rightful heir to Westeros.
Well, he got to fight the White Walkers anyway.

Stopped listening after they claim that it makes sense that Daenaries turns into the mad queen. Ahhh no. It doesnt. Especially if you read the books. And just because her father was the mad King it doesnt mean the daughter had to be the mad queen. Especially considering the rest of the lineage wasnt mad. The whole show went to shit after season 6 but turned into total dog shit wrapped in cat shit in season 8. Utter garbage.

Question: Does anyone else wonder why George RR Martin packed up and left a beloved story in the hands of HBO and staff? Does anyone else wonder why HBO and staff did not require him to AT LEAST leave an OUTLINE to follow - THIS is not how the story goes. I can only think that it was about money though HBO was making so much money that it would have been well worth it to pay Martin to do this. THIS is what makes me furious.
reply

The show started declining because they ran out of source material that Martin still hasn't even started yet and the Showrunners were in such a rush to finish the show because they were getting crazy offers thrown at them left and right. They did such a terrible job that all of those offers get thrown in the trash and HBO even cancelled anything GOT related.
