So if Bran moved everyone into their places to achieve this outcome - He could have instead - told Dany to not let Mesandai board the boats (No dead Mesandai) - He could have warned Dany to watch out for Eurons fleet (No dead Rhaegal) - He could have not told Jon about his birth (Dany was not spurned) - And then a happy Dany would have taken Kings Landing with few deaths and a happy not mad Dany would have ruled with Jon.
He could have even told the expedition Cersai would not keep her word - so no expedition north needed - so no dead dragon to break the wall - so all the dead stay north of the wall - so no thousands killed at Winterfel and Jorah would still be alive.

I'm a little bit surprised, that none of your videos makes at least a little point about the fact, that Sam proposed asking every citizen of Westeros about their opinion who should be king. It's called democracy. Of course those medieval-minded lords make fun about his idea. But I think it's a small detail with a lot of historical irony in it. Could there ever be something like a democracy in Westeros in the far future? Is having an assembly choosing the new king the first step towards democracy?

Daenerys's destruction of Kings Landing and its citizens would have made sense if it had immediately followed the death of her second dragon. But having fixed that, you'd then have to fix the death of the Night King, which was completely underwhelming and didn't make much sense in terms of who killed him. Bran's storyline didn't make much sense either. Ughhh. it gives me a headache thinking about this final season: (

At last. Recognition of the spoken breadcrumbs which the ending could not ignore.
And as for the prophecy. it never mentioned a King. A Prince. one in the direct line succession. who it seems was never going to be King. Who could that be?
And Cersais end? All the people of Pompei where choked to death. Cersai might well have survived long enough to be choked to death by dust. All because Tyrian helped Deny.

Something is just occurring to me now. Sam gave his family sword to Jorah in episode 3, then he died. What happened to the sword? Apparently, based on his representing House Tarly in the council (he said we are the lords of Westeros, not you are the lords of Westeros, he's somehow gotten out of his Nightswatch vows. What about the sword? Has it gone back to House Tarly?

Jon/Egon's story is arguably the best. But as all things come full circle (breaking the wheel = the wheel of time, his fate was always going to be exile. Chosen the first time - forced at the end.
Duty > love when the fate of an entire continent is at stake. ;)
I'll tell you what's greater than telling great stories: GRRM actually finishing the story. :)

I took the line about Bran having the best story to be more about the fact that within his story is literally the entire story of the history of Westeros and everyone within it. It's not so much that his individual story before becoming the Three Eye Raven is the best but that his story up to, including, and after becoming TER involves EVERYONE'S story

This is my one and only fan theory. Bran truly represents George R. R. Martin. That's why he was crowned the King. Just think about it. Tyrion says whoever can tell the best story and knows the most would make the best ruler. Bran knows everything that happened and knows everything that will happen. Just like the writer of the entire story.

Jon isn't part of the Nightwatch. He was sent to rejoin it, but he didn't. He left with the Wildlings. He's free. He can go live his life now as he wants with people who care about him and like him for him. That's as close to a happy ending he could have been granted.
