Very little payoff in return? I disagree entirely. These and the likes are food I could feed on anytime. It was not only mind-bending, it was mind expanding. Granted it may require the average viewer to use a little more brain power than the shows like Love is Blind has to offer, but there are great multitudes of people that enjoy the thrills and challenges of these types of genres and story-lines. I personally fell in love with it and I actually cared about the characters, even the big-bad. It was intelligent writing, creative directing and well cast. Shame that it ended with so many possibilities open to it. Ironic that it was a type of doors inside of doors, within doors show and Netflix only walked through 2 and pooped out.

Making the show little more accessible to new viewers - presumably because season 1 is really hard to find on Netflix. No. What are you talking about? No. Speaking as somebody who tripped and fell on The OA a few weeks before s2 started (it's not as if Netflix were trying to encourage people to watch it) then binged the lot across two weekends, no - just no.
There's a lesson here for Netflix that I fear that they're not going to learn - don't get in a bidding war for a show you're not prepared to see to the end.
This is Netflix's Firefly moment - when people find this show in years to come and it becomes a huge deal it's gonna be too late to fix the fkup.

So many people over the last couple of years have become interested in NDE and stuff like the Universal conscious. It's become a massive movement and although this series is obviously fiction it does have an audience. I don't like conspiracy theories as a rule but it's not difficult to see why it's gone. For a start the Christians think it's devil worship and are quite aware of its' rise as a believe. God forbid anything ever tells you you're free. But hey! it makes way for another Zombie or Android series. you can never have enough of those can you? and all you need is the attention span of a pigeon to get through them.

They canceled it because they didn't people knowing the truth, even though its is told through a movie. the reality is better programmed by the ones who control the entertainment industry in such a way that disempowers people not empowers them. Just like most of the traditional religions, EVERY ONE OF US HAS POWER OF THE COSMOS, if only one cultivates it for consciously.
When people learn to manipulate frequencies in their brain consciously then they shall experience Miraculous.
MEDITATE!

I think its fair to say that the first season takes some commitment from the viewer to complete. If you don't do that you won't ever see the second season, and thats where this show takes off. I love the show but the beauty of it is the slow burn in the first season that left may of us saying What the hell did it all mean? only to truly be paid off in the second season. If you don't give it its fair share of time it falls flat as a lame story about a blind girl that struggled to explain iself.

I just finished the show and I don't think such a show as good as that was ever made and I doubt that there'll ever be a better show. But canceling it? Leaving us with such an ending? That's the literal meaning of injustice in the cinema world. I'm so very disgusted and disappointed by Netflix's decision and right now I'm trying to decide whether it's a good idea to keep my Netflix subscription. Bring the OA back you guys. It needs a proper ending.

Too out there?
The OA in an incredibly intelligent story that provoked thoughts and feelings one similarly encounters when aligning themselves with western occultism, eastern mysticism or philosophy and/or other new age systems of thought. It is a brave art piece that stimulated viewers minds long after viewing. This story is the realest TV show Ive ever seen and its an immense shame that it wont be continued.

OA went to another dimension. seeing a telepathic octopus is the least of what concepts we have already discussed in the scientific community about what is in other dimensions and just recently it was discovered that in another dimension time runs backwards. so no this show is absolutely on point with absolutely amazing actor's and concepts. Period. People are just too dumb or can't understand.

Bruh. Brit Marling had all 5 seasons planned out when they pitched it. This show is absolutely my favorite of all time, it has made me think so much more about the world and how perception is not everything it seems. I'm more upset that we just dont get the rest of the story even if its not on the screen
