What The End Of The Boys Meant MaskedMarvyl: Aquaman was considered a joke for a long while, until the writers suped him up to where he could control all marine life, everywhere. Considering that's most of the globe, that's pretty powerful. The Deep could discover something every powerful living in the deep. Let's see Homelander face off against the Krakan, which would be under the Deep's control. I think they're going to have the Deep discover himself, in well, the deep, and come back as a much more impressive character. At least, I hope so, as this character is too interesting to just write off so easily.

Does anybody know why A Train took Compound V initially? It seems it's like steroids and heroin. Addictive, makes you feel good, and enhances your super powers. However, with using it, your power deplete. His bone density was low, his heart was getting bigger, and he was slowing down. The other heroes weren't losing their powers, so it was the Compound V that causes that. So, why did A Train take it initially?

My biggest question is are they changing up the entire comic story line to fit TV? Like Homelander having a son makes no sense, in the comics Black Noir turns out to HL's clone, takes his costume from time to time and is far worse the HL. BN rapes Butchers wife not HL so realistically if anything the kid should be BN. BN also rapes poor Hughie. Yet we've barely seen BN do any of his horrors

Honestly, I only heard Vogelbaum spoken and didn't bother to look it up. Only when I saw it in a subtitle recently, I realized, it's actually a German word and you guys (and the people in the show, lol) are just butchering it beautifully: D (Vogel = Bird, Baum = Tree for those wondering. It always makes me smile now when I hear it: D

As someone whos never read the comics. I hugely enjoyed the boys season 1 and cant wait for more.
My guess is that homelander somehow becomes a friendly with the boys one way or another. Ultimate, Edgar/vought has to be the ultimate common enemy.
Those who had read the comics and know the plot must be laughing reading this lol

I was thinking about how they would explain Madelyn's death, and basically they could blame Billy. Homelander may have been the one to kill her when he burned her face off, but I doubt forensics will be able to tell that from the badly burned corpse due to the explosion. So, Billy will be listed as having killed her.

Holy dooley I thought the guy who played Homelander was Jerry O'Connell looks so damn similar! But it's Antony Star, he's a Kiwi! Awesome! Two kiwis playing lead characters in an American Show about superheros: P Love it. :D This show was awesome and we will be waiting with bated breath for the next season.

In a twist: maybe Madeline didn't die but the shifter who impersonated her did. And what was the significance of that blue nail polish? She wore it, and it was also at the shop Kamiko killed at. And, a bottle was found where she was kept.

If season 2 didn't exist at all, I would say the season 1 ending is just Butcher successfully killed Homelander, but also himself. Then, they are both in the afterlife, meeting Becca. Meanwhile, Homelander still thinks that he's alive: P

What did the end of The Boys mean?
It meant that my soul had been bludgeoned and smothered by another 8 episodes of a dark take on a classic trope that takes place in an all-too-familiar dystopia.
Hooray, I guess.
