Fact still remains. For anyone who was a kid in the early 80's and bought the toys, the first ones, you will remember each character came with a small pamphlet or mini booklet with each figure to explain their role and origin. The story takes place in a fictional world called Eternia, that much is true. But He-Man was a savage from a tribe that set out on adventures to find his fortunes. That was the plot. And if i remember correctly. God its so long ago. On his travels he came across Skeletor and Teela who were fighting in some swamp area, and he ended up Rescuing Teela, which was the true sorceress. Then it got popular and the cartoon came and everything was changed. He-Man the true original was like a Conan The Barbarian themed. That is the true original origin of He-Man. Look it up yourself if you don't believe me.

A lot of shows and movies from the 80's were great in the 80's but as with most things from that era, it just doesn't work today. We live in a very digital world and most people save those of us who remember the days before Al Gore invented the internet. . just don't relate to the things that made He-Man great. Movies today are generally brooding and dark. He-Man, Thunder Cats, G. I. Joe, Transformers, Go-Bots. Back in the 80's it was quirky and fun and always had to end on a happy and/or moral value to think about. Everything now is all about cancel cultures and sjw's etc. I just don't see how these franchises could work at all unless they were made in the same quirky way they were in the 80's and even still they would only probably appeal to those of us who remember.

Sorry, but not agree. Respect your opinion, but, most of the rebooted titles you said are real shit. (yes, She-Ra reboot, too. so, nice argument, liked the video, but I don't think they Learned from he past mistakes, rather, they want to please us, of course their mistakes, just because they give them retro names. that rebooted All female Ghostbusters and she-Ra, are examples.
They can give that names, they can copy, past or change everything at all. but they'r product are mostly like bootlegs of the originals. And, of course, even the taste is different.
for me, mostly are just bad bootlegs from 80 and 90's products.

It's not just because the originals were original, and therefore better.
it's because they want to force today's boring arguments into themes that should only make you mentally escape from reality.
therefore, although they say they enrich with today's issues, in reality, they distort and impoverish these media.
Certainly, even at the time, cartoons such as He-Man or Ghostbusters (filmation) ended with explanations, sometimes, weary.
But. everything was fast, and done better.
Finally, if you want to make an 80s style ptoduct, well, use the 80s style!

The 80s and early 90s was the time when film makers when afraid to take a risk they would create a new idea now a days a lot of films are to predictable and yes the cgi has got better but some storylines have suffered. Where living in a time where the industry is so saturated you have to look for the gems but hopefully this will get better and take more risks and make master pieces like the joker. Ill be looking forward to seeing masters of the universe reboot it and hopefully the dont eff it up like what they did to robocop and total recall lol

I think having the first He-Man MOTU take place mostly on earth was actually a pretty smart decision by the studio. It made the budget so much smaller, because less Ethernia sets would have to be made. He-Man's mom is also from earth even in the cartoon and comics. If they had pulled it off with a great film, they could have made a lot of money which they could have then reinvested in a sequel that would take place entirely on Ethernia. Sadly, they did not pull the whole thing off so well.

The spiders baited teela into a trap By spinning a huge sticky web above a tree and when
Teela mila appears the spiders pull on the strands causing the giant web to collapse and
Teela finds herself glued into the web with her arms and body covered in gooey webbing
Leaving her trapped like a fly and unnable to free herself from this sticky trap.

I loved the 87 film its a cult classic now, i was dissapointed but He-Man is half earthling and they should have played on that. Even though Centineo was born in 87 He-Man was still playing in syndication till about 94 on US long after the Failed New Adventures of He-Man. Skelator was my favorite part of MotU 87, Frank Lengela was awesome and his performance is still one of the best onscreen villain (fantasy/sci-fi) performances to me.

I wonder why not bringing back Marshal Bravestarr too. Yet it is from the late 80's, it's also accurate with our today's political struggles. The struggle between the private sector (represented by Tex Hex character) and the public sector interest (represented by Bravestarr character. Yes, I'm a fan of He Man, but who ever is capable of reaching the even point between LOTR and Star Wars, that's where He Man resides.
