The Real Reason Krypton Was Cancelled Jean: Ok. First off just because Gotham was based on Bruce Wayne doesnt mean Krypton had to be based on Clark Kent. Because it wasnt. If it were itd just be a reboot of Smallville which was and will forever be my favorite tv show of all time. Krypton was meant to show the destruction of Krypton and finally an accurate depiction of both Lobo and Brainiac. Krypton was never meant to be about Kal-El. Also what does Krypton have to do about there being too many superhero shows. You couldve just gone and cancelled one of these spin off shows about wannabe superheroes. These shows that are apart of the DC Comics and Marvel are stories that have been made many years ago that many people grew up reading. Just because it doesnt get enough views doesnt mean you go and camel it from those who are still fans of the shows. And Kryptonians dont have any super powers unless theyre under the yellow sun.

We all know the story of superman his planet exploded and he was sent to earth as a baby and became Clark Kent, but there is one thing one as to realise on the planet of Kryton these beings only had human power they got the super stregnth on earth. So moving away from the original plot so expected it not to last long, I enjoyed Smallville the story of Clark kent before he became superman, his planet rocks created many super humans so kept thisseries going for ten seasons. On earth his own planet material was supermans eneny it weakened him and could kill him, so not surprised Krypton didn't take off even so some of the stories where fantastic it didn't sum up to the original story plot we loved when we was young.

I coulnd't care less about Krypton being cancelled althought I was hyped to see apokolips and possibly darkseid still It didn't hit me as hard as it did them cancelling fraggin' Lobo. I spend an entire fraggin' year hell I spend my entire life waiting for him to appear not only on Krypton but also having his own series (just appearing in live action period) and I was like holy shit. the show is gonna blow the frag up and it did blew up but in the worst way, cancelled before even begining. Syfy can go F themselves.

I think the problem of this (and others also) superhero-series, are the female characters and the forced, artificial and disproportionate pursuit of the politically correct. A sort of half-feminism, according to which female characters are not equal, rather superior to male ones (for no plausible reason, but still linked to normal female behavior. This turns into a sort of ballast, a quagmire in which the credibility of the narrative, the rhythm and the bite of the story falls.

Well a DC streaming service might end all the superhero shows left on TV, at least CW, like Disney taking all of ABC, Netflix, and Fox Marvel properties once Disney bought Fox. The only thorn in their side is Sony, but when have we seen a Sony TV show? Megalomania. I'm not signing up to pay for all those independent one-horse streaming services so I guess I'm done with superheroes for now. SAD.

We had Seg el brainiac doomsday jax ur kandor kryptonopolis rao and the big ass krypton in the middle we sat through 2 entire seasons of awesome fighting expecting the one scene in the series waiting to hear the loud bang the planet makes as it implodes and suddenly. cancelled. We are lucky to get a glimpse of wegthor exploding, even though it wasn't such a satisfying explosion.

Series sucked worse than Gotham! Key highlight was Lobo! Other than that the show sucked! Lobo shouldnt have even looked like that yet. Shouldve had him a little more oldschool in his worldgear when he was the destroyer of worlds, not just a bounty hunter. Once again the timeline just doesnt make sense! Smallville, Gotham and Krpyton! DC's biggest blunders and bombs!

Actually, the Omega symbol at the end of season 2 was not a nod at Darkseid. It was actually referencing the Omega Men. The Omega Men play a part in the Rann-Thanagar War and use the Omega symbol as a sign of resistance. Nyssa landed on Rann and found they were in the middle of a war with Thanagar before she saw the Omega symbol.

So low rating is why Krypton was cancelled. Cant say Im not sorry to hear it. I thought it was brilliant till they added soap opera drama like Zods grandma and Supermans grandpa hooked up. Gross! And the whole problem with time traveling characters is that the either devalued much information or not enough information.

Honestly I was struggling though that show. It wasnt good. I liked the actors, but the story and visuals were difficult. Lets be honest. People want superman, not kryptonians with no powers.
