1. The other survivors seen in first film lighting a fire when the father lit up theirs.
2. It's unlikely that the military didn't know of the creature's weakness. So to show why they didn't do anything to wipe these monsters out, is a good subplot.
3. How did the creatures came to existence and where did they come from. They could be extraterrestrial, hidden, or lab experiment. Either way, its nice to know about them.
4. With the weakness of the creatures exposed to the survivors, how are they planning to live their lives. Hunt them or go on surviving. Since they broadcasted a loud noise in first film, its likely that other survivors may come to help or rescue them.

Why? Can someone tell me that? Why does the quiet place get such good reviews and ratings! It does break a mold and I get that, but once you dive a little deeper, the movie makes little to NO sense at all. The biggest infraction of which is that cochlear implants have NO SPEAKERS! It's an electrical impulse sent to another electrical piece of equipment. IN YOUR HEAD! Not to mention that they have such little power they would be able to broadcast something like 1 foot.
Had never seen this movie until recently. Just wondering why?

Didn't the first movie end with them figuring out how to kill the aliens so I would assume the second movie would be about them going around killing the aliens and looking for others.

Worked on the Quite place Pt 2 in Western New York where is was filmed this August and September. I think the naysayers and fans will be pleasantly surprised.
