It's crazy that the big bad that's been pulling strings in the last 6 films is being seen as a ridiculous addition to the final chapter of the new trilogy. It's always been about him trying to destroy all remnants of the Jedi and the Force. I have a ton of gripes about the new trilogy, but Palpatine isn't one of them. Considering he talked about finding ways to beat death in the prequels, it's perfectly feasible he's alive.

So. I'm really confused now. I thought this trilogy was supposed to be a new generation of star wars and not a continuation. Now after 2 next gen movies, suddenly it makes sense to continue the the story from the original trilogy?

The first trilogy should be left alone and the phantom menace should have been the only new movie as well as rogue one. All others have been terrible and Im sure this one will suck too. Marvel wins flawless victory. Fatality!

JJ Abrams deserves no trust, he has proven time and time again that he cant finish original stories. Also, when he continues other franchises he is unable to craft a story that is unique or truly meaningful.

Simple reason is because they cant write a script, for shit and have no originality, whatsoever and it was a last minute decision, instead of a decision they claim was on the cards, all along. Thats why.

I don't think the new trilogy is bad at all. I reserve judgment until its completed maybe there is a good reason for everything that ties in beautifully. Either way better to be hopeful in my opinion.

If The Rise Of Skywalker isnt as good as its meant to be, then the sequel trilogy failed. Hopefully if thats the case Disney can redeem themselves with an Old Republic trilogy afterwards.
