Joaquin's Comments Put A Joker Sequel In Serious Jeopardy Douchy: I've already read the comment that sparked this and I completely agree with him. There isn't a point in making a sequel if he isn't feeling it. You can't force an actor like Joquin Phoenix to work within your expectations and expect anything good to come out of it. He works best buy his own method. Todd Phillips let him do what he does best and collaborated with him a lot and that's the reason we got the fantastic movie that we got. Micromanaging what an actor does leads to the Star wars prequels. We saw what happened there. Aside from that, he lost a scary f amount of weight and his mental health was affected for a while because of it. He did his bit and we got an amazing f movie out of it but y'all can't just be happy with it.

I have a new respect for Joaquin Phoenix. I love what he said. There have been so many shitty sequels made for cash grabs. I would love a sequel to be made, not because there needs to be one or because fans want one, but because they left it open for one and only if it follows the same pattern laid out in the first one. But there definitely doesn't need to be a sequel. This movie was great as a stand alone origin story.

There's never been a sequel on any Joker movie as far as actors go.
Not Jack,
Not Heath,
Not Jared.
Joaquin was successful on his first, but a second movie would be pushing it for the audience.
Mentally we are interested in the introduction of a story and never fully immersed in the middle because we always hyped for the end-story.

All he saying is he doesnt want to do a sequel for the money. Just because the movie is successful doesnt make it good. Joker was a phenomenal movie, but if there is a sequel he wants the story to be just as good if not better than the first movie. He appreciates the art more than a paycheck and that truly says a lot about his character. Respect.

Omg people! Why ruin something good. It was meant to be a one shot movie. It starts off with a sequel then 10 years later it becomes the next Fast and Furious franchise. Here's a crazy intelligent idea maybe do a two-face movie instead. Anyone of from Batman's rogue gallery. He has the best rogue gallery out of any hero.

What's the point then? Any clown pun intended could have played the part and then not be attached to the role. ahh take me to a parallel universe where heath ledger is alive and theres a proper joker stand alone movie with him in it! Atm DC have no structure to their films and on going storylines it's just a mess.

Duh. Video. no kidding. He said that from the jump. Most of us know that how Phoenix always works. He will do a sequel if he believes in the story. The box office just secures that he will have a choice.

Phonenix is like Heath perfect joker's but we'll never see a sequel for either. I still watch the dark Knight. Christopher Nolan if he got bale an Phoenix that be awesome but nonetheless a fantasy

Thank god. This movie is perfect, just the way it is, and my favorite thing about this movie is it focuses on Joker. No batman or any other DC characters. It made it more real, thus relatable. Yea

Please do not make a sequal. It will diminish what made this movie great. Let it be a classic and stand alone. Dose scareface need a sequal? Hell NO! Neither dose joker. Case close.
