Things Only Adults Notice In Scooby-Doo Michael: I was going to point out all sorts of things, like the fact that nearly all comedy animated series in the late 60's, early 70's had laugh tracks (so if you think SD's needs explaining, they ALL do. And that most Hanna-Barbera shows had talking animals even in the apparently real human world. And that the show was originally going to have real ghosts and monsters, but the network nixed the idea. .. but what's the point?
I've noticed that about a lot of YouTube analyses -- they pick one example of a shtick that was actually omnipresent and act like this one show was some weird anomaly for using it -- Like Bugs Bunny shooting a noisy guy in the audience while trying to perform, or a character saying Now I've seen everything! and shooting himself in the head. Dozens of old cartoons used those tropes!

Scrappy was not initially hated (mileage may very. The hatred didn't really start until Fred, Velma, and Daphne left. And they started giving him their traits. He became the one who found clues, got captured, and designed the traps.
If they had left him alone. Kept him the eager little puppy; who hero-worships his Uncle Scooby-Doo; and allowed him to mature; people might not have hated him. Now, however, if you started watching after his introduction. Or, you're able to go with the flow. You might not have hated Scrappy-Doo at all.

Actually a life on the highway was pretty hip in the 60s, plus dodging the Nam draft makes them even more heroic. Nothing creepy about wanting to be alone with your girlfriend. Also the real people is a good way to time Em. The mystery machine being unhinged in time is a terrific hypothesis but a more logical explanation could be people and lookalikes disguised as those fictional or dead celebrities.

Why do you feel a need to explain a cartoon and compare it with reality! It's a CARTOON, it's NOT real. It's like trying to take a fictional book and view it through eyes that want to make it real. Give me a damn break and leave my childhood alone! I'm not sure whom to be disgusted with; you for trying to ruin my favorite cartoon or me for watching your awful review.

The Gang has not always dealt with greedy landowners. As early as The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show. We start adding in actual supernatural beings to ever few episodes. This fallows the return of Daphne. And precedes The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo.

The reason everyone understands scooby and deosnt question it is becuase shaggy and scoobys weed scent overpowers the air around them and gets everyone they come in contact with a bit high. Even the Wal-Mart commercial confirms this

Interesting point about a possible apocalypse, seems most all the businesses the gang encounters are either closed or on the verge of having to close from hauntings.

3: 25 That's crap. If yer gonna voice a character then get someone willing to play it as is.
(Also didn't he also take offense at some Transformers visual gag)

It's not really surprising there on weed I mean they always go into abandoned places to look around to maybe get high with feel of police sometimes
