My biggest problem with this movie is the return of the emperor making Darth Vader's redemption completey useless.
I also think the story is a little messy at points.
And to me the conflict between Rey and the Emperor isn't nearly as engaging as the conflict between Darth Vader and Luke in Return Of The Jedi.
I think it's a good movie overall but a dissapointing ending of the skywalker saga.
But i still see Return Of The Jedi as The Actual ending of skywalker saga.
I give the rise of skywalker a 7, 5/10

I can't even get myself to try to like this film. As a fan it is clear that the director literally didn't even respect the plot of the other two films, it had the worst possible story with absolutely no time to understand what is going on. When you're responsible for ending the biggest franchise ever and come up with such a script with unanswered questions and poor dialogue there's clearly a problem.

Sacrificed everything set up in last Jedi? How about rian sacrificing everything set up by every previous movie. This movie was bad but at least explained why it's predecessor was wrong. Last Jedi just shrugged off everything like never happened. Rise is below last Jedi in my book. I actually wanted to walk out of this movie and I expected to like it.

this movie was fun but if they wouldve answered all the plot holes in the movie it wouldve been better the action scenes were fun but too many plotholes to bug me. but this was for sure better than the last jedi though. i just wish they wouldve explained palpatines return

Just because Carrie F died, they didnt have to tank the plot. It would have been better if she was absorbed with Force when Luke did the same as a start to E9 since they are twins. Those scenes were morose and awky. K Ren could have had a different arc in his story without Leia

before all the way back in ep 6, darth vader killed palpatine, and there were no more siths. so, kylo ren should be the one who kills palpatine. so there would be no more siths. (i might be wrong. please dont judge me)

Crap movie did nothing for the memory and legacy of the Skywalker clan. Anakin and Luke should have had more significance and impact in this movie.
All in all, this movie could have just been called the adventures of Rey!

I felt like the movie left a very open ending because like in returnnof the jedi we see the resistence win the biggest battle but the war isn't over and also rey's has just began, like she's been a jedi for 1 year

I think the dumbest part was where the orange mutant chick gave Chewbacca a medal. That was like giving your dog a good dog certificate. It's just a mindless animal that doesn't know what the hell it even means.
