The Untold Truth Of Mary Jane Watson
video description
Then the Newspaper version (they still had newspapers in 2007) makes it a dream and they're still happily married. Then the comics try to make it look like they lived together for all those years and then all of sudden they broke up? What a joke! The early 90's starting with the Venom storyline and The Clone Saga started the slow decline of Spider-man Comics and then OMD accelerated the decline to the current state of the Spider-man Character. His personal life is a complete failure and he's completely irresponsible as Peter Parker despite Spider-man's mantra of With great power there comes great responsibility.
Let's face it after 57 years in the Comics, he's never been married (thanks to OMD, can't sustain a career, can't sustain a relationship with any female character introduced including Felicia Hardy, MJ, and Cindy Moon (Silk, and hasn't had children yet. Maybe when his character is out 80 years or so like Batman and Superman maybe then he'll have children. It took a long time before Batman and Superman had children, maybe after 65 to 70 years their characters were in existence DC finally had Batman and Superman have children. So I guess Marvel Spider-man Fans may have to wait a decade or so more before Spider-man has kids, IMO.
Marvel need to do something to make Spider-man interesting again, IMO. He should either marry MJ again or have them remember their marriage and have children or have him finally get with Felicia hardy/The Black Cat (TBC) where they fight crime together, Peter Parker is successful as a scientist and let them have children together. The Spider-man character needs a storyline breathing new life into his character instead of the same old personal life as Peter Parker storylines all the time, IMO. Even if they put him with Cindy Moon/Silk it's something. They were bitten by the same spider so why not put them together, right? Thanks for reading and I'm only expressing an opinion.

The current MCU-version of Spider-Man is absolute GARBAGE. Perfectly-cast Tom Holland aside, they have robbed Peter of his own identity and created some weird pastiche of Peter/Miles and simply turned him into an Iron-Man Legacy character. Why do that? Peter is FAR more interesting than Iron Man. And Miles deserves to be his own character! I was secretly HOPING the MCU/Sony deal would just go away, so Sony could go back to making movies ABOUT Spider-Man (rather than movies about Iron Man, starring Spider-Man.

Personally I liked gwen way more cause she was a perfect match for him, she's smart and way less complicated than Mary Jane, I'm not saying mj and peter didnt have chemistry but gwen and peter had a strong relationship, but too bad they killed her in the comics and the movie otherwise I think she would have made an excellent girlfriend in the newer comics

I always thought that Kiersten Duntz was not a Mary Jane Watson at all. The character Mary Jane in the comic books is REALLY REALLY GORGEOUS. DUNTZ, no disrespect, is an average looking chick at best. Mary Jane In the comic books is more like Sophia Loren, or Brooke Shields in their prime.

Im 40% sure shes had powers. Maybe not canonically but alternate timeline stories where her Peter and their daughter fought crime together and she had a superhero persona called Jackpot I think?

The MJ reveal at the end of homecoming ruined what was an amazing film. As you have said Mary Jane has been a main stay for over fifty years and this film shat all over it.

In the 1994 Spiderman Animated Series. MJ becomes Hydrowoman & has water powers. Now I know she wasn't the real MJ & was just a clone but I would say that's a time when MJ had powers.

One More Day cured me of my love for comics. I had already given up on DC when Superman started wearing an oxygen mask to survive in space and underwater.

2: 00 Gwen's first appearance was literally 11 issues before MJ and she'd barely been established as a love interest at that point, but. I'll let it slide. lol
