Sandler needs to stick to non comedy rolls. I nearly did not watch this movie because I dislike him in most movies I have watched ( comedies ). but this was a good movie and he was pretty darn good. You could truly feel the passion he had for the player, the game. and the frustration of traveling and seeing other players. I think many people could also connect when he realizes that all those years in the business, and he felt like nothing and no one would help him.

Visiting family near the WVA/Ohio border and we all watched this on Netflix last night.
Good film but anyone who needs anything explained from it probably still gets confused by the cat going down (not up) the steps.

What s cool is at the end, Stanley tell his own team how to guard Cruz, showing that he s not going to go easy on his student while they are on different teams. Because he loves the game and his role as a coach.

It was a good movie considering the trash he made with uncut gems. I gotta admit tho, him and queen Latifah as a couple was cringe af!
