During the 1980s, there were plenty of cartoons that were essentially vehicles for action figures: Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-Man, and of course, ThunderCats. But more than just a glorified toy commercial, ThunderCats proved to viewers and their parents that it had something unique. It was a cartoon that tried to teach kids moral lessons, and this not only set it apart, but gave the show a lasting legacy. So if you were a super fan growing up and think you know all the facts, get ready for the untold truth of ThunderCats. PINE: Thundercats is everything! With the director being a fan, hopefully we will get a better movie than the lame Jem & the Holograms. Disney also needs to step up and make the live action version of Gargoyles. I won 1000 on Halloween dressed a Lion-o, I still have my sword!

I absolutely LOVED the Thundercats. Racing home after school to catch an episode and then talking about said episode the next day at the schoolyard. And to this day, I still think the Silverhawks were the Thundercats in space.

As long as the movie is being made by people who truly love the show and are determined to maintain its integrity for the production, then I can see a live-action version doing really well!

Many happy memories of watching Thundercats on the TV as a kiddo, remember always looking forward to the next episode. Keeping fingers crossed the movie adaptation happens soon.

I only saw the remake. And I loved it.
If they did do a live-action movie, I hope Lion-o isn't a kid in a man's body. My biggest pet peeve is adults acting like immature children.

Lion-o was a wimp. He would start a fight and then when he couldn't finish the fight. He then would call for a help. The others should say, F you. Fight your own battles.
