Director Adam Wingard's titanic blockbuster Godzilla vs. Kong absolutely delivers on the heavyweight brawl promised in the title, but it's very light on logic. Perplexed by the plot of Godzilla vs. Kong? Here are the most confusing moments, explained. In Godzilla vs. Kong, major concepts get brief bits of exposition. Hollow Earth, for example, is a major plot point, but most of its history is only laid out during the opening credits. As the credits state, in 1926, an American admiral led an expedition to the North Pole, although it's not clear if he found Hollow Earth. This admiral is very clearly supposed to be Richard E. Byrd, a real-life figure who's inexorably linked to the idea of Hollow Earth. In 1926, Byrd voyaged to the North Pole, although whether he actually succeeded is a matter of debate. Byrd has since become a pivotal figure in the real-life Hollow Earth conspiracy theory (yeah, that's a thing, and Godzilla vs. Kong has embraced that, making him one of the first Hollow Earth pioneers, at least in the MonsterVerse. F2P: I believe Godzilla was actually going to Hong Kong cause he sensed mechaGodzilla. Remember MechaG is controlled by the two Ghidorah heads and based on that theory im sure the Big G could sense the energy of Ghidorah surging through Mecha Godzilla. He didnt change his course to Hong Kong cause he sensed King Kong in the Hollow Earth at the Kong Temple. He turned that way cause MechaGodzilla was activated for a practice test.

The Light in Hollow Earth could be from Lava pools, Glowing stones, and bioluminescence from plants or it could be from the molten nickel core which would be quite bright. It also could be from some type of chemical reactions. Kong would need a much larger food source than Skull Island could provide him, maybe Monarch shipped in a lot of food. Remember Kong needs food and does not react to Radiation except for getting cancer. The blade of the axe that Kong used was a dorsal plate from a Godzilla skeleton, that is why it gets energized by Godzilla s atomic breath.
As to why Godzilla sensed the energy when Kong placed the axe on the Floor and the glowing image appeared. Godzilla knows there are no more of his Kind ( for now. I was hoping that Kong would find another of his kind ( hopefully a female) and would not be alone anymore.
Anyone who thinks Kong won either fights is crazy, Kong gets a few punches and cuts Godzilla with his axe, which just pisses off Godzilla.
Godzilla rules the Surface and allows Kong to live in the Hollow Earth.

What im more confused about is how tf did the humans not die when they went to Hollow Earth due to the radioactivity? They stated in KoM that Godzilla's lair was extremely potent in radiation hence why he goes there to rest

I give the movie an overall Great Popcorn flick. A+ in that regards. I wasn't expecting logic. ;) BTW I know the original Hollow Earth theory. No, I do not believe it but have read a lot on it. Fascinating fantasy.

What I don't get is how Apex didn't catch Bernie an employee for 5 years being a whistleblower. Apex wasn't worried about a weirdo running a podcast with all that knowledge about their corporation.

Well a fitting explanation would be Plot Convenience let's see if there's an explanation for how Madison and Berne had luck with doors and never got caught

I don't think that Kong is 50 whole Feet smaller. If that was the case Godzilla would be dawrfing Kong, and in the movie they are just about the same size.

I'm still not sure how there's light inside of the hollow Earth. Like it's supposed to be inside of the earth, right? So how's there a sun there?

Doesn't spend much time explaining how it works. Maybe because it's pretty obvious if you actually WATCH THE MOVIE and PAY ATTENTION.

Was it just coincidentall that Kong was right underneath Godzilla in the hollow Earth when Godzilla created a new tunnel, that bugged me
