What Really Happened At The End Of Prey
video description
Is the Predator just a hunter? If so, then it could use its technology to kill from a distance and retrieve its trophies, without the need to put itself in danger.
Is the Predator looking for fights where it can accomplish honorable victories? Then the use of superior technology in its kills is antithetical to that purpose, and indiscriminate killing from a distance (such as the fight with the native hunting party and later with the trappers) would make no sense. Neither would invisibility.
But perhaps the writers aren't interested in creating a coherent, logical mythos. Perhaps they are only selling 'different ways to kill and to die'.

As for the pistol. It is entirely possible that the Translator Raphael is from the doomed pirate ship and before leaving was given one of the Captain's pistols, coincidentally having the same first name. Or even having the same last name and different first names, maybe brothers. This would make more sense since Raphael is well traveled and ended up with the French from the pirate ship. It might be that there were in fact two pistols made for Raphael by the Captain of the ship before he departed. A fitting present for a Captain to give his brother, and valued crew member, upon leaving to seek his own fortune with a group of French. Raphael could have left one the Pistols with the captain, his brother, as a parting gift also. Even more poetic might be that they were twin brothers to mirror the twin pistols made. A great dialogue between them might be.
Captain: Take these. [gives Raphael two pistols] you name is on them so those trappers can't steal one and claim ownership.
Raphael: Brother, a wonderful parting gift. But, you keep one. Know that I will be with you on your journeys, there, also to protect you. [the twin brothers hug]
The twin pistols part ways along with the men that carry them not knowing they will share the same fate, as sometimes twins do.

Well, if you go too far into the future for the setting of these movies. You run the risk of trying to think up and create futuristic weapons, that aren't so one-sided. Meaning, it would be too advanced and it would all be automated technology that really wouldn't require a lot of hunting skills. Like how guns are too easy to use and don't require a whole lot of skill to kill someone. If anything, it's too easy to kill someone now. The step back in time makes more sense with these movies bc the arsenals require skillful use and is more suitable for an exciting hunt. However, that does only apply to the human species. When fighting other aliens on different planets, I'm sure (or they should) be using different weapons

Just like all the Jurassic Park movies this same story line of a Predator has grown old! Some alien race comes to pick off weak humans and is stopped by one person at the end. only this time Hey lets go back to the old west and use Native Americans. Like Really? yeah when modern automatic weapons didn't seem to stop these things lets put it it back with bows, spears and wilderness. Put this series to rest already! as it's gotten as boring as the Jurassic Park stories has. seen it, know the basic plot like the back of my hand as it's the same story over and over and bend over. BORED!

ANOTHER anti-history, anti-male, pro-female trope film. I'll pass. Alien vs Predator was believable the hero didn't beat the Predator, she worked WITH the Predator and was awesome. This one seems all the men had to die in order for the female to be the hero. and her Tribe just accepted she was the greater warrior? NO. that's not how the tribes were. Women were weaker in physicality than males and were accepted as the Mother of the Tribe's children. a more important role in the Tribe than the warrior.

Unfortunately, it seems most people did NOT watch the ending. During the first half of the end credits, there are some animations in a native form of drawing representing some of the main scenes of the movie. As the credits begin to wrap up, the animation shows Naru presenting the head to the tribe. Suddenly the sky goes dark as the Thunderbird has returned. It is probably a safe assumption that the Predator family for the dead Hunter returns, slaughters the tribe, and takes the pistol as a trophy.

What happened at the end was, my joy for the movie finally ending. Lol
CGI lioness was sooo fake. CGI Kunai with Chain was kinda pointless. CGI bear scene sucked, Predator saved her. She almost gets her dog killed MULTIPLE times. She has no apparent skillset, until she conjures some up to kill dudes attacking her like she all of a sudden became a Veteran UFC fighter. Predator keeps letting her live for plot fight at end. Smarter than a Beaver Line was terrible.

Honestly in my opinion they should have made a predator movie during the time before Humanity had created rifles and guns, like probably during the Dark Ages and medieval error, now that probably would have been more realistic but it would had been unfair to the humans, because they would be at a huge disadvantage when standing Toe to Toe against the Predator, no matter how an experience he is either in technology and/or weaponry.

No one saw the post credit scene? It was an illustration of the final live action scene when they celebrated her successful hunt, but then stick figures look to the right and we see some space ships appear from the skies. They could have taken back the body of the captured Predator and maybe also gotten the pistol back - somehow

Not the predators first time on earth according to AVP (Alien vs. Predator); and the weapons left in the pyramid were more advanced. Can there be several Predator species or Clans that use different methods of demonstrating prowess? Definitely more questions have been raised with this latest iteration of the franchise.

This movie was by far the best predator movie since P2. As for how the Predator Elder gets the gun. For me only makes since that they come to claim the juveniles body for ritual burial. As they almost always do if the predator doesn't sacrifice itself. And in doing so something happens that causes it to aquire it.

Can't they bring it back to the cinemas, now that the movie has been verified to be good? Also, given the skulls in the Predators 2 ship, it is quite possible the thunderbird came to seize Naru to the hunting ground of The Predators. And after she died fighting there, the flintlock became a trophy.

I really don't see the big hype of this movie it was to simple and predictable normal hunt die and then the end idk but imo it's not that interesting but I definitely believe it's a solid good simple predator movie to watch but not nothing over the top
