Time travelers and a giant penguin? That's just scratching the surface of Jean-Claude Van Damme s greatest fights. thebuccaneersden: I dunno. It might be true that Bloodsport is what brought Van Damme to recognition, but it was just another Rocky movie. Universal Soldier will always be for me where VD actually had to use his acting skills to drive a more meaningful narrative other than his usual work. That being said, while I'm sure he's laughing all the way to the bank, in retrospect I don't really appreciate that he did so much to promote himself as a martial arts cinema hero. I get it. you can do the splits. so many stunt men can do the same, but don't get the same recognition.

How is the Chad vs Moon fight so low on the list? That was such an iconic fight scene! The disrespect! There's no way the people that made this list are true JCVD fans

They were all in Bloodsport weren t they?
There may be one in Timecop but that rather entertaining action film isn t noted for simply being a Van Damme fight flick.
