Why We'll Probably Never Get To See Edge Of Tomorrow 2

An ambitious idea that spent most of a decade in a cycle of living and dying might have reset the clock on itself for the last time. Here's why the Edge of Tomorrow sequel may be buried in the rubble of yesterday. Mr: I enjoyed the movie. I just can't see how a prequel would work if they want Tom Cruise to star in it. an actual sequel would depend if its an all new story being told and not just the same story from the first movie with one or two little tweaks.
But honestly, I thought the movie was good and the ending worked - if there is never a sequel I'd be OK with that. though most likely it is one of those movies that will probably be remade sometime in the 2030s

Good movie and I love sequels but as much as I liked that world they managed to wrap everything up by the end. How about a mini series? Or maybe a single season run? Show the start of the war. End the season with the squad we have been following going into a battle where Vrataski gets killed for the first time. Blunt could make a cameo for that scene or only show the character from behind when she dies. Do something flashy or have the world melt away as time resets and roll credits.

If we can't have a sequel or a prequel, then do the next best thing, a triple-A-rated FPS game. Doing this would allow the game developer to include all three movies in an action-filled game. One must remember that in FPS games, a player dies and then gets respawned.

It would have been nice for a sequel, but it should have been within 3 years in my opinion. I don't think Avatar is going to turn out at the box office, because every year without sequal a movie loses its momentum.

It's my fault for not seeing this in the theater, and letting The Fault in Our Stars kick its ass when it should have been the other way around. One of my worst decisions I ever made in my movie going history.

I hope they don t make a sequel. Edge of Tomorrow is a fantastic film, but not everything needs a sequel. Not everything needs to be a franchise. We need to get back to one-and-done movies.

I can't see how a sequel would work. They absolutely nailed the gimmick of the first film. Idk how they could have an equally cool idea because they can't just do the same thing again.

It's a one shot concept movie with a closed loop. There won't be a sequel because doing so would be utterly pointless. What would you do? Rehash the same idea?

After reading the original story this was based off of, I don t think it needs a sequel but if one did come out then I would happily watch it.

I didn t know they were even thinking about it. Now I m mad that it isn t a thing even though I didn t know it wasn t a thing to begin with.
