An MCU favorite is relieved to start his next chapter and it appears he's not alone. So what does this say about the impact being a Marvel star has on the studio's stable of performers? nicolaisb2: Good move. Ever since Marvel targeted Kids as their main Audience they fell apart. The movies they did before 2013 was very good, But now movies like Thor is just a movie with silly jokes and characters with a bad persona.
DC however is only making great movies. Just compare the Suicide Squad from DC and Marvel. There is a reason the rating is much higher in the DC version. But Marvel is good if you are 12-15 years Old i guess But when you are older its just not what we want. A superhero movie needs to show the darkness and danger of the villian, and not monsters like a Hulk telling silly Jokes and bakes a cake in the Marvel Universe.
The Thor King of thunder is a great example of a movie created to kids where Thor always tells a silly joke before destroying enemies, what a joke of a movie

That's what I hate when these people right here try to explain away the predicament these actors put themselves in. All the roles they say they miss, how about you wouldn't even get the roles you are talking about missing if you did not take the Marvel role. I think all of them read their contract, and when you see it has you committed for so many years, you have the option to say no. I see the big complaint Disney contract are ironclad these other little companies you can probably skip out on them. I see that as the only complaint you can't get your way. Then, I tried to use these idiots to drum up sympathy. There is no one holding a weapon to your head. These people are just selfish. You not hearing one saying I signed it I have to fulfill my obligation. It's a yes or no question, but it's yours to agree with.

The real problem with the MCU nowadays is its storyline. It chooses to rely heavily on action and cgi scenes over an engrossing story and a lot of actors have to accept it do to contractual agreements. That alone kills the motivation not the actual superhero idea but lack of any type of compelling script that they can get excited over. Case in point Benedict Arnold is an extremely good actor and would be the obvious pick for Dr Strange but who could tell do to a not so good plot that led to a poor performance in multiverse of madness. His performance in What If as Dr Strange was way better. Why? Because the Dr Strange he played in it was far more interesting then the MCU version he played.

I understand these actors feelings, but they know what they signed up for. They agreed to multi-picture, multi-year deals. The money is great and their star rises quickly. You don t get something for nothing. Moving on to do projects that are more serious and challenging is commendable, just don t be surprised if they fade more into obscurity while doing so. I wish them all well going forward.

Boo hoo hoo you sign a multi project deal & get good money & are part of the greatest franchises ever! I think it s dumb to say anything negative when it s time to depart the MCU

Definitely a fan, I've enjoyed Bautista in literally everything he's done. Drax is a silly character, but he did a great job with it. the dude is funny as hell.

I like Dave but it's not like there's not 100 roid heads out there that could play Drax, so I understand why he doesn't want it to be what he's most known for.

Same old playbook. Bash the things that got you where you are instead of thanking them for the opportunity to let you grow. So petty and dumb!
