the thing is, that meanwhile I couldn't care less about these movies. I was cool with Robert Downey Jr. playing Ironman for 100 years because he was good in it, the movies where consistent and Marvel had all in all a good thing going. But we had 2 Supermen, 3 Batmen and several TV variations within the last 20 years and always go back to square one to establish them. I'm just not that interested in these characters anymore because they are redone so often.

Black Superman would be the perfect Hollywood disaster of an end to the Henry Cavill disaster. Cavill IS Superman. If you can't make it work it's time to let it sit and try again in another decade or so. There are TONS of good black superhero characters. I WANT to see those and NOT another race/gender/whatever swap of a classic character. All we end up with is social media chaos and low box office results.

And this is the end of the DCEU. They will never recover from the direction Gunn wanna take this sinking ship. Heck, just the fact that he prioritises keeping Miller over Cavill, should tell you what you need to know. Miller was horrible as the Flash and thats not even bringing in the fact that he is an utterly despicable human outside the silverscreen.

this is all wrong: he left superman coz james etc came inn and are rebooting/resetting the DCMU (jason mamoa is probs being recast as Lobo) and witcher cos the writers etc have no respect for the source material and openly mock it. henry is a gamer and loves the lore that why hes gone onto warhammer 40k. this seems very one sided and tbh outright wrong

What DC is doing wrong with Superman is they keep doing his origin and the start of his persona as Superman over and over and over again! I want to see a later Superman. There are so many epic Superman stories in the comic books, why is it that the most reason Man of Steel movie was still about fighting General Zod!

WB and Gunn did Cavill dirty. I absolutely, resolutely refuse to support any future DC films after how they treated Henry, and us. Getting his and our hopes up for a long awaited return, telling him to make an announcement he was back, just to carelessly and thoughtlessly squash it like this. Unforgiveable.

I'm bitter, so I'll only watch Aquaman 2 and Shazam 2, then call it quits on whatever Gunn and Safran got going. Noting that his target audience is the new/younger generation for DC. Generations that were too young to be intertwined with the most recent movies.

Idk why they would hire Gunn he had one good movie in marvel which almost everything does good guardians 2 was meh and the suicide squad reboot was trash other than peacemaker which was a comedy show basically DC characters have just got done wrong at every turn

I feel like if everyone wasn't so. Snyder this Snyder that. We might have got a good set of movies produced by different film makers. Instead of just dark miserable tone. I feel James Gunn might actually save DC movies. If Snyder fans get over themselves

IMO The Black Superman project will never get made. It depended on Henry because the Black Superman story would have been in the future. With a trump guy as CEO of CNN/Discovery(John Malone) and a bootlicker like Zaslav, Black Superman has no chance.

I am of black heritage and go on record to state we do not need or want a black super man we have enough black superheroes to play, we don t need to piggy back off other cultural hero s. Bring back Henry and Zack, F this new direction trash!

Cavill didn't give up the role of Geralt of Rivia to play Superman but because of how poorly the Witcher franchise was treated by the showrunner Lauren Hissrich and the writers.
And what WB and Gunn have done to Cavill is just despicable.
