RIP Mr. B, I used to see him walking down the streets in Manhattan walking his dogs, I would say hi and he would give the softest smile, peace head nod that would make me smile and then say hello back. Damm he will be missed

I was devastated upon hearing this news. Munch was my favorite SVU character. It's kind of poetic/odd that the most recent episode focused on ice-T's character and he spends about 2 minutes talking about Munch.

Rest In Peace you beautiful, talented and courageous man. You will be sorely missed by this world, thank yo for such great memories! R. I. P. Richard Belzer

That iconic face in Law and Order. It will be hard watching him everyday (in my country TNT series show compilations of episodes everyday, sometimes like three in a row) knowing he's gone. Respect.

As somebody who just started binging SVU from episode 1 this is truly devastating to hear especially when I grew to love the character of Munch. Rest in Peace. My heart goes out to the family.

You made those shows one helluva a ride to watch with your creative character Munch and all others that you portrayed. Thank you for the entertainment. Rest now peacefully good man.

It's a testament to the combination of actor and character that both would be included across such a wide range of shows and networks. Sometimes fate just gets it right.

Only Richard Belzer could do such a good job with Munch that he went from Homicde: Life on the Streets, SVU, The X Files & The Simpsons!
