I would like to point out that Stan Lee did not write the comics where Marvel mixed up with the DC world. That came about from other authors. Essentially Stan Lee wannabes.
Stan Lee is dead now but do we really need to dishonor his legacy by bringing up Captain Marvel meeting with Rogue? Two different universes meeting that was not written by Stan Lee.
Everyone has seen the movie Dead Pool. Has the X-Men suffered at all from Thanos' Snap? No they didn't because they are not from the same universe.

I have never seen a more dead-eyed looking thing before in my life, aside from a dolls eye or a shark.

I think marvel just over reached by shoehorning a lesser known and inconsistent character into the top spot. They should have just let her have a regular intro movie and see if people liked it or not. I think Black Panther would have faced similar neckbeard rage if they had dropped him right into an equal footing with Thanos with no build up.

Mar-vel the og captain marvel was the person who fought thanos in infinity gauntlet when he had the gauntlet then died of cancer he was in 2 of the best written stories of early marvel the death of captain marvel was the first comic to make me cry. Carol danvers is cool but mot as much as og marvel

Sorry but the marketing for this flick (including Brie Larson interviews) illustrate to me, that the target audience is females. And for a fanbase that is overwhelmingly male, either it is a miscalculation on the studios part, or a calculated decision to embrace gals and leave guys to the side.

Screw you Looper! Hawkeye is badass in classic comics which are way better than the horrible modern ones. it's obvious these idiots have their preferences: Carol Danvers is an example of that since she was Miss Marvel and wasn't that popular like iron-man, Spidey or the X-Men.

if CAPTAIN MARVEL under-performs, it's gonna be the fault of all the girls and women who didn't go see it in theaters. after all, the movie was made for them. so they better not blame the white dudes, after Brie Larson made it very clear that this movie wasn't made for them.

the untold truth of captain marvel. she failed as a comic book 8 times and now we are getting a movie nobody wanted and the savior of the MCU. this movie is a joke and an insult to marvel fans who spent 10 years of investment into this franchise. MCU is dead to me now

When they made Ms. Marvel Captain Marvel she just got boring and ridiculous in the comics. Shes not that important of a character in Marvel and thats the way it is. If you want to see her done right then go watch Earths Mightiest Heros. Shes great there!
