Chris Rock Gave His Take On The Slap & It Broke The Internet

The Slap is back! After keeping quiet for nearly a year, Chris Rock finally addressed the infamous Oscars kerfuffle in Netflix's first-ever live special: Selective Outrage. Keep watching to find out what he said, and what those on the Internet are saying about it. ANNETTE: I always liked Chris Rock. I always liked Will Smith. Chris Rock is a comedian who makes you cringe, while speaking the brutal truth out loud and making it funny at the same time. He is an extremely thoughtful, talented and interesting comedian. I thought that he handled the Will Smith slap with class. It isn't easy to let someone hit you without hitting back, the instinct to retaliate is pretty much built in. I was appalled that Smith was not escorted out of the room and held somewhere, while a decision was made to call the police or to not call the police. Chris Rock is very clever to take his time to deal with what happened that evening and to address it in a show.

A number of these comedians today are not built like the comedians in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They are not genuinely funny and they have no self-respect.
These Reprobates are an Embarrassment to themselves and the Culture. They have ZERO integrity. Every joke they make is at the expense of the Black Community.
Slavery is Not a JOKE. Verbally assaulting a Black Woman, someone s wife, on INTERNATIONAL Television from 2016 to the present is Not a JOKE.
In the book, The Willie L nch Letter & The Making of a Slave, the European slaver Willie L nch (who lived in the West Indies) wrote in his infamous letter to other slavers in the United States, that The Black slave after receiving this indoctrination shall carry on and will become self refueling and self generation for hundreds of years, maybe thousands.
Many of these comedians are the personification of The Willie L nch Letter. They need to stop pandering, two-stepping, telling N Word jokes, and totally selling their souls to earn the WS dollar. It s tired, played out, and only their Traitorous Insurrectionist enablers desire to hear it.
And honestly, those comedians sw nging from a tree or being wh pped to d ath would make WS laugh just as hard as any self-hating joke those comedians could ever tell. Literally, back in the day, WS went out to public barbecues to enjoy the same. Now they go to Comedy Shows to get a small taste of the l nching and b ckbreaking experience.
What a way for a BM to earn his money, by selling his people out and desecrating on the memory of our ancestors. Good job Chris. Well done. Mission accomplished.

I thought the special on Netflix was okay. While I've never been a big fan of standup, in general, I thought he had some pretty good jokes. There were a few that didn't land with me at all and some I simply didn't understand since I wasn't aware of the people he was referring to, but Rock rarely feels boring or repeatative.
I did like how he summed up that he was the one who got hit and everyone else complained about it. While I don't stand behind what Smith did, we all make our share of mistakes and it's up to Rock to judge or forgive him, not for the court of public opinions. And while I don't think forgiveness is anywhere on the horizon from Rock, and rightfully so, it's good that he's working through his issues through comedy and his craft, instead of being the attention seeking type, he addressed in the special. Much respect to him!

Those haters are id! ots and are just trolls who are too pussies. Will should've been jailed for that and got off with as little a penalty as possible. Banned from the oscars? So what, that things has been basically banned by people anyway. No one has ever seen it since like forever and only got the ratings because of the slap, if not for that I'd guess less than 100 tuned in. If that was anyone else they'd have been fined, sued, and for sure ended up at least a day in jail. Will got off lightly

I don't let any review of that comedy special that gave their 0. 02 that was referenced in this video even watch the damn thing because I don't even know where they got half of that from I watched it and I thought the whole entire thing was great it was simple Chris Rock as always has been he talked about the slap He did it in a way that he had every right to it wasn't crazy He didn't say anything outlandish and I really don't have any clue

The Smith's need to just stay out of Hollywood. They made themselves the villains and more hated than The Kardashians. Will Smith made a lot of enemies and destroyed his own career & relationships after that slap. If I was him, I would just stay off the radar and take every verbal beating coming to him without responding. He did it to himself and Jada shouldn't get off free either since she started all of this.

it just wasn't funny. I smirked a few times, but no laughs. good for him that he's rich, and doesn't care he's screwed his life, because half as rich is still rich. we get it. I'm a fan, but he needs to move on from following his dick. it felt like I've heard all these jokes before. or maybe have better ones in my head. it all was dated stuff. sad. but hey, his spoiled kids are having their best life

Chris rock was baiting Will smith, the moment he stood up he knew what would happen hence that ok give it to me pose before the slapping when someone huge approaches you would you present your face to that person? Wouldn t you have distanced yourself from that guy? With that don t get me wrong, he was still surprised Will smith actually slapped him in the oscars.

Twitter users are obviously Will fans, upset because Rock finally spoke up. I think he transitioned his act to end on the slap brilliantly. people are upset for calling out Jada, and how she played Will when she s the one who aired out her dirty laundry for the world to see. Rock didn t say anything that people don t already know, shit I loved it. good for him
reply

Chris's criticism of Jada is 100% deserved. Those of us who have our eyes open are tired of her crap and the way she acts like her and Will are some kind of power couple, with her wearing the pants in that relationship and completely humiliating him in front of the world. I've known people like her before and they make my skin crawl.

Will Smith slaps Chris Rock, later the meme appears and rumors spread the whole world in USA at the same time. And now looper talks about Chris Rock about the slap thing ifk if Chris rock his talking about the slap if he does he really need to shut the h#ll up and more batting mouth he has been become, I think he's just a sick basturd.
reply

Bravo Chris, I am glad he spoke out he has every right to anyway he wants, I mean did that smack not embarrass the hell out of Chris back then? So why should he not have the right to not speak his mind, the lesson in this story is keep your hands too yourself an never ever smack a comedian!
reply

As far as i see it that slap did good for you chris, now your making money so stop being a hater because of the moves he's making! Your sabotage won't work on will, he will always be a mega star to alot of people hence the reason the slap is working out for you bro.
reply

He talked about yoga pants and use key words like woke, brought up irrelevant celebrities oh and playing victim and wanting attention HA I didn t make it to the Slap part. Not a genius. Didn t wanna fight so he is talking more shit. Got paid good for him.
reply

Rock needed to lay it down, will Smith started a dangerous trend that did have real world consequences as there was an uptick in attempts of violence towards comedians for while after, I think he's perfectly in the right to torch him and his s wife both
