A 118 million dollar opening is not good for a movie like this. It has a huge production and marketing budget and opened smaller than the previous film. It s also trailing behind Thor 4. This is s huge disappointment of an opening and confirms that the MCU s days are numbered. This is likely the final film that stood a chance of doing well in the franchise and it s going to ultimately be considered a decent sized flop which is ashame given it s a good movie. The Marvels will be a Shazam 2/Antman 3 style disaster so hopefully Fantastic 4 and X-Men can turn it around along with the next Spiderman although Spidey isn t really MCU.

So, why should i give any weight, any credence, to this looper report? Only makes me question how much direct influence the Disney/Marvel marketing budget had on this report.

It was a perfect mix of hilarious and emotional. It did not only justify its existence but it featured the best character development of its main cast. It's not perfect however, in my opinion the pace is not as great as Infinity War or Spiderman No way home.

You guys nailed it why it did so well on opening weekend, no competition. I was sucked in because of the success of the previous 2 movies. This one failed to recapture the magic of the original. Disappointing.

i looked at showtimes for this movie at multiple viewing locations surrounding me (chicago), i couldn t find a theater with more then 10 people with tickets, most had 5 or less. tent pole? sus

It s the best damn guardians to date. That movie had it all, comedy, love, family, sadness, I enjoyed every moment and I look forward seeing it again at home when it comes out on dvd/streaming.

Went 10am to see this in theaters as guardians is my FAV out of all the Marvel movies. I love them all the they always stick out to me. Great movie. Had me thinking everyone was gonna die
