i wanted to die. so this is what i did about it. ciara: Tana, I love you so much, and I am so proud of everything youve accomplished. Mental health is so important and its clearly been a journey for you, and the path youre going down now is amazing, its fresh, its new, and its you and your choice, I honestly couldnt be happier. Ive been following you since your messy vlog days, and I know that this hasnt been easy for you. I admire you for changing your mindset and life to adapt to no only your environment, but your mental illnesses/ability. I love this beneficial video and truly do not mean to derail too much or be the one Negative Nancy in the comment section when I say that I have one burning question to ask, which may be a lot to read. I know that you titled the video I wanted to die, so this is what I did about it, yet all it seems is that you changed your environment, including friends, family, and physical outdoor environment to became happier and refreshed. For someone with similar mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression like myself, it always seems to be nearly impossible to ever fully wake up feeling refreshed. When you mentioned that you are now happier and refreshed, I automatically assumed this was just a control thing in which you needed to be in control to feel better. But in many other situations, such as mine, thats not the case. As I said, feeling refreshed and motivated to actually get out of bed in the morning is something that seems out of my reach. I was wondering if you took depression medication during this time, or something related to, to help you feel this way over time? If not, my question remains. How does one simply wake up and start to feel refreshed, because in all of the years I have struggled with mental illness, I have never understood what it truly meant to be refreshed and it upsets me and makes me even more tired? See with depression, there is literally never a time where you dont feel tired or unmotivated, yet you claim the opposite is true. Im not trying to contradict you too much or put you on the spot, Im just wondering if this is a me problem (something that only I deal with because I am letting my depression take control over me instead of the other way around, or if its problem that most people with depression have, but dont speak on it. Which again, would make my question stand. In all of the reconstruction videos Ive watched similar to this ever, I have never seen anyone answer that. People always talk about what they did to fully regain their strength and motivation, but no one ever elaborates on how and why, including what got them started on their journey to begin with and to be able to maintain it and now become stable again. This one question has been on my mind since I could remember. I will say that its terrifying and painful to have to wake up every morning feeling fatigued, weary, and trapped. This seems as if this could be an easy fix if I just got my ass up and did what I needed to do for me and got my shit together, but its also understandable that not everyone has the same luxuries or ability to drastically change their lives for the better. Some of us are stuck in these poor housing & family situations until we can be and do better. I just need to know how and why I wake up feeling tired as if I never slept, although I do. or never satisfied. I know this is probably something I could have talked about with therapists and whatnot, but I just figured being open and raw about it would help me publicly & hopefully someone or you, Tana can reply or dm me and help me understand why no matter how much I change I cant feel refreshed. Im just tired of being tired, and tired of feeling drained without even moving. I want the energy I had as a child, so I can wake up and actually want to. Thank you

If you're depressed, these tips may help you. 1) Stay healthy, stay away from bad habits, especially drinking alcohol which effects your dopamine levels in ways that aren't wanted. Keep the chemicals in your brain healthy, your body is your temple. Look after it. 2. Don't over sleep, only 8 hours or so of sleep is needed. Wake up early and start your day fresh. 3. Work out, our bodies more than ever often stay inside due to everything we have access to, our TVs, phones, so it's important to get physical activity in. It's what our bodies have evolved to do, move. 4. Don't distract yourself from the pain, to heal something completely you must pull the thorn out, and that's when it hurts the most. Sit with the pain, if you run away and act like it doesn't exist, you will only surpress it and delay it for later. That's why when everyone is forced to stay inside and not go out clubbing, all of their issues arise. 5. Socialise, humans have evolved to be social beings, we've spent our evolution in tribes, socialising. Make sure to call your friends every now and then and share your thoughts, it's not healthy to keep everything tucked inside. 6. We NEED darkness. Everyone wants to be in the light but not everyone wants to go through the lessons in order to reach the light, to find true happiness, many times you need to become lost in order to find your true self. Your body knows what it's doing, let it feel what needs to be felt and try your best not to let your mind disturb the healing process with negative thoughts. Meditation, writing, working out can help your mind relax in a healthy way. 7: most importantly, be yourself. (As long as your true self isn't some maniac killer lmao, stop limiting yourself and your souls cry for happiness just because you care too much about being 'cool'. Show the world your random, rememberable, hopeful personality. I'm an introvert but there's still a fine line between liking your own space, and restricting yourself from being outgoing n funny when you want to be. Be fearless, you are kings and queens, and the universe is yours. Live it, as you were born to do. Good luck everyone, a brighter future awaits you all.

I once was told a story about a a caterpillar struggling to turn into a butterfly and it went like this. she was all warm in her cocoon but constantly squirmed waiting for her time to hatch. A boy walks by and sees the cocoon shaking and trys to help but opening it up and the caterpillar dies because she wasnt ready to come out yet. If he had left her alone to struggle on her own and fond her inner strength she would have flourished. Tana it sounds like you did just that. You learned that the ur greatest strength is fighting ur bottles on ur own and that struggling is just apart of the process. You inspire me, love you always

I hate people that live negatively always complains about how hard there life and childhood was and how life sucks. If you stay in that mind set your just stuck in it an will never get better. Go through the motions. talk to someone. cry. let it out. an let it go move forward. Dont stay stuck in your own mind I had a horrible child hood and dont let that define me and refuse to complain about it make it apart of my story. I move on and work on building my future and happy times. And my own own family and life that wont repeat like my childhood Peace and love

I found you in 2019, and was honestly like why does this chick have her own show etc. I get it now. You are not the train wreck everyone thought you were. You're cute. funny, and way smarter than you let on. definitely stick to being authentic, and not just showing one side of life. I hit rock bottom once too. Beautiful thing about the bottom is there's only one way to go from there. Stay strong and keep thriving

The way I feel so inspired from this? Tana's life has been hectic for years and I think what she really needed was to settle down and live life day to day appreciating the simple things that mattered the most. It makes me look forward to the future and the possible ways I can start to thrive I'm so happy for Tana and honestly would love more wholesome vlogs like this because I was smiling the entire time: ) ily
