Everyone says that Jack shouldn't have died in Titanic because there was enough room on that door frame. But it doesn't matter. I know that he could've fit on the door frame, but he had to die. Do you think it would have impacted everyone so much if he didn't die? Don't get me wrong, it would still be a phenomenal film, but the movie would not have had the same emotional vastness. He died just to save her. He knew he was going to die. He knew. But he still didn't give up. He wanted Rose to have a second chance at life. He wanted her to do all the thing they talked about like riding roller coasters, horses, and whatnot. The film still would have still been tragic but not in the same way. Because in the movie you get attached to Jack and don't want him to die. If it didn't happen it would just be sad because it is a tragic event. That is why Jack had to die in Titanic.

I have NEVER understood the hubbub surrounding From Here to Eternity. There have been so many knock-offs of this iconic scene, that by the time I FINALLY saw the damned movie in my mid-thirties, the end credits were rolling before I even realized I had gone right past that scene without a flicker of recognition, or care. Again, as much as the scene has been imitated, I really believe the original didn't stand the test of time, despite Mojo's claim to the contrary.

What about the kiss in P. S. I Love You, from the first time Gerard met Hilary Swank. It lasted like it wanted to last.
Twilight movie wasn't much good but the kiss was Damn.

I don't know if it's iconic, but the best movie kiss ever (imo) is Kevin Kline and Meg Ryan at the end of French Kiss. Everyone needs to be kissed like that!

No Burt and Sally from Smokey and the Bandit, or Lois and Superman from Superman? Hell, not even PRINCESS LEIA AND HAN FREAKING SOLO from Star Wars?
