Lexa is badass, but if you have to go with a badass warrior from The 100, I think you have to go Octavia > Lexa. Or at the VERY least include Octavia in the honorable mentions. Lexa was a great warrior - no doubt (and her death was a writing travesty, but weve seen Octavias growth and abilities transform as a warrior much more than Lexa. There was much more of the show dont tell element to witnessing Octavia become a great warrior - ergo I think she deserves a spot on this list perhaps a little bit more than Lexa. Also, I understand why Xena was list as #1. but I think Buffy should have held the top spot as she holds more cultural weight to the trope.

Xena is absolutely number one! My list would probably be (just picking from shows I've seen in all or part & only picking one character from each show): 1. Xena (XWP) 2. Wonder Woman (Wonder Woman) 3. Zoe (Firefly) 4. Melinda May (Shield) 5. Brienne (GoT) 6. Wynonna (Wynonna Earp) 7. Sarah Lance (Arrow) 8. Toph (AtLA) 9. Riza Hawkeye (FMA Brotherhood) 10. Alex Danvers (Supergirl. Although the ordering for me is pretty flexible on everyone except Xena. A lot of the shows on this list I haven't seen much of, so I'll keep them in mind for future watching.

Which explains why I never watch these shows except to be brave. Really brave, since strong women on TV and in movies cause certain paranoid fears to return to my soul. Supergirl on CW I can't see either since Supergirl is here for the girls, not the gender that cares, which would be men. (Sorry. Bad choice of words but if it starts a conversation, good) Thanks for trying to appease us but some of us guys are still antsy around the portrayal of women as hateful super heroes. Five years of Supergirl are enough, ythink?

It's really too bad they short changed River Tam. Her two fight scenes in the movie Serenity should have put her much higher on the list. Of course she was the only bad ass woman on the list who we never got to see in action, other than about 5 seconds of her firing a pistol.

Nikita is not number 5! She should be at least top 2! She is trained in everything from weapons and her hands are lethal too! Also she does her own stunts and worked under Bruce lee!
