These are the best teen movies of the 2010s! Theres a lot of coming of age films that have touched our hearts like Lady Bird, Submarine, The Diary of a Teenage Girl, The Kings of Summer and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Then theres the teen romance that revolves not around characters growing up, but dealing with death like The Fault in Our Stars, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and The Spectacular Now

Lady Bird is my favorite. It's funny and hilarious, yet the family drama really stood out. I always come back to it whenever I feel nostalgic of my high school years and very relatable when I entered college life. Lady Bird and her mom snapped hard, they are really great characters and actresses.

Edge of Seventeen has never failed to make me cry every time I watch it! It truly deserved the top spot. Im also glad Me and Earl and the Dying girl is on the list, it has never failed to make me cry as well, its truly a masterpiece from the music and the visuals!

you should put more gender neutral movies that both boys and girls like instead of teen movies more for girls. that being said being charlie, struck by lightning, kick ass, scott pilgrim vs the world, project x, spring breakers, dope, duff and the list goes on.

Edge of Seventeen is very relatable. It triggers my introvert and depressed side. Hailee Steinfeild didn't seem acting at all. She's such a great actress even if it comes to humor and drama. She portrayed the character well so audience really related to it.

The list is Fine. Glad there is not noah centineo film in there.
Gosh is 2019 and we havent come up with something as worthy as mean girls or clueless. Guess it was just a superheros movies decade

The perks of being a wallflower is a trash movie, why is it on here? Charlie's friend group was that one group of kids in highschool who thought they were super edgy but really were just basic
reply

I cant agree with Spectacular Now being on here. Its a terrible movie about a terrible character with zero redeeming qualities made even more frustrating by the fact that nobody stops him.

The 2010s decade was my era of adolescence (well, from about 2010-2014/2015-ish, so I can share about what it was like being a teen during this time and growing up with these movies.

The diary of a teenage girl it is absolutely one of my favorites, is not for everyone tho. If you are looking for cheesy teen movies this is not it.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is the most underrated drama movie Ive ever seen. Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Ezra Miller all do phenomenal in this.
reply

Oh I HATED Fault in Our Stars the dialogue was super unrealistic the story could have had potential if the characters were pretentious
reply

Funny I've seen and love the top 80's, 90's and 2000's movies, but have barely seen any of these, guess I'm not a teen anymore: (

The Edge of Seventeen IS the best and most authentic portrayals of a teenage life, thank you for giving it number 1! Truly deserved.
reply

As a teenager, I have not watched any of the movies. Where is MARVEL? Where is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?
reply

it's really stark how much moodier and more indie these movies are than those on teen movie lists from previous decades
