Directed by Ava DuVernay and starring Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Storm Reid and more, Disneys A Wrinkle in Time movie is an adaptation of Madeleine LEngles 1962 sci-fi/fantasy novel. With a diverse cast, themes of good versus evil, a pro-science outlook and a love conquers all moral, this big budget Disney movie has been compared to the likes of Star Wars and The Wizard of Oz. But does A Wrinkle in Time live up to the hype?

Did either of you not realize that the book was a groundbreaking book that is the basis of a lot of coming of age books. When you said it was derivative (that would mean the WiT was referencing another property) when in fact the other properties are referencing Wrinkle in Time. This reminds me of that because the that author read the this (Wrinkle in Time. As for the Mrs. W not having a lot of screen time or the visiting of a world being short -- well that is very much what was going on the book. The Mrs. Ws were guiding, they were not able to do this themselves, Meg and co have to do it. Really bad review!

I still might go see this because I enjoy complex story lines and trying to merge ideas together. Seeing the trailer when I went to see Stars Wars in December, I was genuinely curious. I can tell ya'll right now that nowadays just because a certain actor is in a movie, doesn't mean I am going to see it. To me, a popular person does equal an awesome movie. Seeing the previews I got a pretty clear picture that any adults in the movie would either be a minor or a supportive role. So I think I'll see this movie because of how this story tells the Hero's journey.

Whats so funny to me is that theres so many people who think the book was all pro science this and that, and they dont even know or realize this book was written by a devout Christian. its funny to me because it kind of flies in the face of the theory that obviously Christians hate science when this is proof that no thats not true.

I saw the movie just to kill some time while my ride home was still working. This is the shittiest movie i have seen in the past 10 years. The acting from the lead female character was terrible and she was annoying, Oprah looked like a drag queen, the only good that came from this shit was seeing my beautiful Reese Witherspoon

You guys make no sense! Sorry! Stick to a theme and explore it. Your comments where all over the place! This video came on as auto-play as I was getting ready. I was left with: what did I just hear!

Omg. I didn't know you have a sister. You both are pretty.
As for the movie, it was overhyped (as an ad in every video and such, but it was okay. Maybe we overrated the star-studded cast.

I actually really enjoyed it I think it's visually STUNNING, I loved the messages it has, I enjoyed the performances and it just made me feel good walking out at the end

no offense but these ladies say uh a lot in this video and it's very, very offputting. especially when it's every other word. i wish y'all would edit a little more.

I'm sorry but the kids' ACTING was off-putting. The film was fast paced. Pseudo Science narrative. Forced Diversity. Overuse of CGI. Dumbing-Down of Calvin.

I was going to see this movie. But the low rating on Rotten Tomatoes changed my mind. Although, I have only seen the 2003 Miramax version of A Wrinkle In Time!

This movie is the Oprah equivalent to Will Smiths Bright, the movie is overhyped and and focused too much same old Sci Fi themes and it sucks anyways.

My friend described this movie like a cross between Quantum Leap & Rick & Morty.
Then I saw Oprah. no thanks, I'll pass.

I don't understand why Mrs. Whatsit turned into a piece of lettuce instead of a winged centaur like in the book.

2003s version is better by a longshot. Its more faithful to the book and has some darker scenes that are so amazing!

I am gonna see it for sure. too bad that here, in Greece, comes out next month, when our Easter is. can't wait
reply

I new it was going to be a flaming bag of SJW crap the moment I saw the review, much like the last jedi.

Having read the book, I know I'm going to be disappointed. Very few movies live up to their books.
