Something the late Stephen Sondheim warned against - Perfectly respectable shows, based on perfectly respectable sources, that have NO REASON FOR BEING [. ] Their authors are blinded by the attractiveness of the source material, how easily it could ing, how effectively it might be staged, which actor would be perfect for the leading role. They never question the NEED to musicalize the piece. They never ask themselves what music will do for the story that hasn't already been accomplished by the original author.

The Lighting Thief musical was based on the book, NOT the movie. The movie doesn't even have the same story as the book or musical, and really should never have been made at all.
Sincerely, all the angry fans that would like to completely erase the existence of the movies because of how horrible they were when it comes to following the story of the books.

Im a simple person, I see Heathers, I click.
Edit: For anyone who asks, Im a huge fan of the Heathers Musical, but oddly enough I cant get through the movie because its acted so well, that the more crazy moments are hard for me to watch.
