These are the jukebox musicals we need! For this list, were looking at those artists that need musicals set to their tunes. We may even have a plot idea or two up our sleeves as well. Weve included musicals like Panic! At the Disco, George Michael, Coldplay, Madonna and more! Which artist do you want to see musicals set to their tunes? Want to

The plot for a MUSE jukebox musical goes as follows: star-crossed lovers in a post apocalyptic near future. The leads take part in two different political parties fighting for control of the government. They somehow end up coming together, & eventually fall in love. Among the songs they use are: apocalyse please, endlessly, resistance, hysteria, uprising, starlight, time is running out, dead inside, exo-politics, undisclosed desires, madness, knights of cydonia, uno, OMG SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM SOS

Two words friends:
Shania
Twain
Just imagine: ba ba bada ba BA BA! Let's go girls! Lights up on a Texan farm. We see or protagonist centre stage. Could that image have anymore potential? The protagonist can be on her farm, farming for fun while our antagonist can be trying to take the farm through bribery, and she sings Ka-ching! And the moral of the story is kind of a money-can't-buy-happiness type thing. Anyway, that's just a thought.

Not to be emo, but My Chemical Romance. Three Cheers, The Black Parade, and Danger Days are all concept albums so they have stories with them already. But not everyone knows that just from listening. Those stories could be translated to the stage in such a cool way and it'd help people really understand the albums

Hows this for a musical.
Title: 1921
Music of: Adele
Synopsis: A young woman starts college and she stays in her dorm room of 1921 and we see her fall in and out of love with a co-ed while facing the challenges of being on your own as a young adult.
Ill take my Tony now

I don't want a Weird Al jukebox musical. I want a full-on musical, complete with new songs. If you're going to go meta, you really need songs that feed into that meta, and few of his songs would play into that. Spamalot did a good version of a meta-musical and Weird Al would kill it.

Actually, I would love a My Chemical Romance musical tho. I would pay to see a Panic musical. Panic could be the story of a man's journey through music and My Chem could be about a woman's sacrifice to save not only the land that she loves but also her family

I agree with you. George Michael, Elton John, Madonna, and Panic! At the Disco definitely need jukebox musicals! I also would like Broadway to have jukebox musicals of Michael Bolton, Stevie Wonder, and Neil Diamond.

They forgot a couple of people, I could see as a musical! The Music of: 1)Cher 2)Michael Jackson 3)Janet Jackson 4)Barbra Streisand 5) The Beatles & The Beach Boys! If they dig deep down thru the vault!

Ooh, if anyone writes a Police musical, don't let Sting write the book. I saw a musical of his about the shipyards shutting down in Northern England in the late 80s, and it was. not good.

Jukebox musicals. What are we in the 50' s or the early 60's. To be modern or hip how about calling them stereos musicals of incredible talented musicians. How that roll off the tougue.

When was this vid released. It says last year and last year we got the number one on that list a jukebox biopic musical about Sir Elton John. ROCKETMAN. Which was such a good movie

Okay I gotta admit I audibly screamed with joy at seeing Panic! at #10 Didnt expect it at all but it fits so well! Thanks for giving them (better yet him) the recognition!

what about Lana Del Rey, Halsey and Emilie Autumn, Marina and the Diamonds? All there songs tell a story of some sort and all there albums have themes of some kind.

High on my list is Jonathan Coulton. It would be the tale of a computer programmer finding love in the midst of a mad scientist robot uprising and zombie apocalypse.

I appreciate how much time was spent on Muse. They're my favorite band ever and have always been different so a musical would be quite the musical masterpiece
reply

I fell like The Dear Hunter's entire discography is made for the stage! Also, I'd love to see the absolute POWERHOUSE a musical set to Heart's music!

I suggest a musical about people in a homeless shelter with music from Supertramp. Or something epic with the music by Imagine Dragons!
reply

How the hell did Billy Joel not make the list? Uptown Girl would fit well as musical number. Dont believe me? Watch the music video for it.
reply

The Police will definitely get one now especially with the likes of Every Breath You Take and Don't Stand So Close To Me
reply

Sorry Spamalot already made fun of Musicals already (Whatever Happened to My Song/This is the Song That Goes Like This)
reply

9: 13 Sting already wrote a musical and it did not go down well. Not sure how well a Police musical would go after that
reply

What about a Genesis musical? The lead character named Peter, gets replaced by Phil who rises to even more success.
reply

Great choices. The one artist that really needs a jukebox musical is The Eagles and the members as solo artists.
reply

Yes 100 times to Fleetwood Mac, we need a movie about their Rumours era! Behind the Rumours, anyone?

I am working on a high school love story jukebox musical. The band that will be represented is Queen.
