Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
These are the best coming of age horror films! For this list, we'll be ranking the best horror movies which feature plots focusing on the coming of age story of a young protagonist or group of children. This doesn't necessarily need to be the only theme on display to merit inclusion, but each horror film should primarily feature this idea within their narrative. Weve included films like In the Company of Wolves, The Craft, Picnic at Hanging Rock, and more!

This again, is more opinion, but I think the original Carrie is much more of a drama than a horror film. It's a drama that has elements of horror scattered throughout the movie. I think if you're a movie buff, you might be swayed to believe it. As I was watching this video, it occurred to me, Heathers should've at least made an honorable mention. That movie was down right terrifying.

Your wrong about Picnic At Hanging Rock, only three teenage girls go missing and half way through the film one of the girls is found.
reply

The way the narrator pronounces Eli from Let The Right One In's name proves she has never watched the movie. It's Elly not EE-LIE
reply

Carrie, Scream, The Craft, Jennifer's Body, The Company Of Wolves, Let The Right One In are my favorite coming-of-age horror movies.
reply

I have fond memories of watching the craft with my mom and sister on vhs around 2nd grade. Forever one of my favorite movies.
reply

The Craft was my youth all time fave. I'm so glad Teeth only made it into the mentions, that one is absolutely terrible
reply

Raw: always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
Movie is brilliant never understood why it never made any lists

reply

the craft isnt horror its just drama. and tho they use some elements that are witch based its FICTION no one floats.
reply

Jennifers Body is a good guilty pleasure movie (Megan Fox is also the person who made me realize that Im bi)
reply

This was a good list even though Teeth and Raw should have been more explored. But you forgot The Lure!
reply

Loved the craft growing up still do should be in top 3 and good list let the right one in is so good!
reply

I Know What You Did Last Summer had a good moral message towards young people about drunk driving and murder
reply

Why are people so scared of periods and female puberty? It's sending the wrong message to movie goers.
reply

Carrie is still relevant decades after its release and no remake has ever topped DePalmas masterpiece.
