You want to know something hilarious? My dad would watch everything we would so he got subjected to our Camp Rock phase. And he adopted that hand gesture as a way to jokingly tell us to buzz off. He would put his hand in the W position but instead of stopping for the letters E and M he would roll his hand to land in the L position. None of us ever did it, only him, and he did it for years.

I feel bad for austin in cinderella story. Sure shud he have stood up for sam during public humiliation? Absolutely.
To defend him, it's not all his fault. He's also the victim of the humiliation and he's caught in the crossfire between humiliation, and the decision to choose to save Sam or letting his dad down. He's just as a victim as much as Sam is

So the common thing in these teen movies is that the protagonist's rivals and so-called friends are are a bunch of arrogant bastards and pricks & they have to be just as cutthroat to come out on top. High school can be so cruel.
