Its sad but this list instead of making me feel inspired, depressed me Because outside of Lara Croft and Elle Woods non of the characters are truly iconic.
Dont get me wrong they are great strong woman with a lot to admire but iconic not so much.
To be iconic they have to be highly recognized even by not cinephiles.
These characters on the list are only well known by Hard core cinephiles.
As a horrible Role model as Bella Swan is she much more iconic than All those characters Because Everyone knows Who is bella Sawn.
So Why it makes me dperssed Because i realize how There are very few truly iconic Female heroines.
There are many great and strong Female characters but truly iconic very.
I dont know If i honestly could come with a top 10 of All time.
Getting 10 from each decade sounds imposible.

Elle woods is the reason I graduated high school. Such an icon who is so motivational and proves to be kind and that you dont need to be bitter but better all while remaining true to herself changing for nobody.
Gracie Heart from Miss Congeniality was well deserved and Jean Gray as well.
Hermione was such a powerful influence for young people.

If Elle Woods taught me anything, it's that women can be smart AND beautiful, you don't have to choose between one or the other. Same with Hermione Granger, as she matures and grows up confident in herself and her abilities as the series progresses. Both are excellent role models for young girls, in my opinion!

I am very disappointed that Alice from the Resident Evil film series and Elizabeth Swann from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series did not make this list. Both heroines along with Hermione Granger were my favorites in the 2000s.
