Olivia Colman did not play Queen Elizabeth I in Hyde Park on the Hudson.
First of all, Elizabeth I reigned from 1558 - 1603 so I'm quite sure she wasn't driving in a car anywhere.
Olivia played Queen Elizabeth, the wife of George VI and mother of Elizabeth II.
There have been other Queen Consorts named Elizabeth: Elizabeth Woodville, wife of Edward IV and Elizabeth of York who was the daughter of the aforementioned couple, the wife of Henry VII and mother of Henry VIII.

Her as the godmother in fleabag is the defection of passive aggressive she nailed the words I honestly want her and michelle Fairely ska catelyn stark to be in a movie cuz Michelles range is understated her anger more so the way michelle can convey her anger and sadness and pain is amazing she was robbed of an Emmy for her scream alone after watching rob die I always thought Olivia and michelle would be great co stars

Minor point - Queen Elizabeth the first is Henry VIIIs daughter, not the Queen Elizabeth that she portrayed apart from the current queen. Its actually Queen Elizabeth the queen mother, or simply Queen Elizabeth as she married into the royal family and was the consort, not the overall ruler but I see others already picked that up. Either way, I love Olivia

Her Oscar win and unrehearsed acceptance speech will go down as one of academy awards greatest. She was obviously shocked upon hearing her name as the winner and was almost apologetic to Glenn Close who had been the favorite (pardon the pun. Her Oscar win was deserved as she gave a flawless performance.

If someone hasn't already said this already, Olivia Coleman wasn't playing Queen Elizabeth I, she was playing Queen Elizabeth, Queen Consort to King George V. They were the parents of Queen Elizabeth II. So, Olivia has played both the mother and daughter in the same British Royal family.

The Queen Mother was not Queen Elizabeth I, she was Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. She was consort not Monarch so she does not get a number as she was not ruling queen. Queen Elizabeth I was born in 1533 so it would be unusual to depict her riding in a car.

CORRECTION: Coleman played Elizabeth the Second in Hyde Park on the Hudson. Elizabeth the First lived in the sixteenth century, a little before there was a Hyde Park on the Hudson. She didn't play three queens, she played Elizabeth the Second twice.

Number 11. Her role as the mother of a gay teen in the hilarious Jonathan Harvey 12 part comedy, Beautiful People. It's a hoot and she, as always is fab, showing off a massive range of skills. get it on DVD, you won't be disappointed!

Little known fact is that Olivia Colman has indian ancestry in her blood. Her great- great-great grandmother was born in india to an Indian woman. Olivia Colman travelled to Bihar and Bengal to find out about her ancestry.

Queen Elizabeth the first was queen during the mid evil period of England, Wales and Ireland. She played Queen Elizabeth the Queen consort (Married to the King) and later the queen mother, not queen Elizabeth the first.

I just realized she was the mom Im the film short called The Karman line, which is actually a very deep and thought provoking film, especially when you consider it is only 24 minutes long.
reply

She did not play Queen Elizabeth the 1st in Hyde Park on the Hudson. Elizabeth the 2nd's mother's name was Elizabeth, but Elizabeth the 1st died in 1603, there was no USA at that point in time.

First time saw her was in The Night Manager. Don't why or how, but no joke, after literally seeing her for no more than a minute I said, that's the best actress I've ever seen in my life

I watched her Who do you think you are? and she has partly Indian heritage. her great great grandmother was born of an Indian mother and British father in the colonial times.

She played Queen Elizabeth the first in Hyde Park On Hudson. I don't think so! More like the Queen Mother, or just plain plain Queen Elizabeth, consort of King George VI.
reply

She played Queen Elizabeth (consort) later the queen mother not Elizabeth I as she was much much earlier and well go to history to know what shes all about
reply

Um that wasn't queen Elizabeth the first! It was Queen Elizabeth consort/Queen mother. Queen Elizabeth 1 was in 16th century so she wouldn't have been in a car!
reply

She always seems so nice, people from the Crown always say she is a lot of fun to work with and seems like most people that worked with her had the same opinion
