Since there are so many people pissed at Belle and Beast making the list, let me explain why they are, in fact, toxic:
Beast was an asshole. He was not a good man, and that is, in fact, why he was cursed into becoming a monster, to reflect his character. He imprisoned Belle's father and when she offered to take his place, Beast simply agreed.
Of course, you'll argue that the point of the movie was that he changed. But this is also what makes it problematic. The narrative is that her love was capable of changing him; that this guy who was willing to keep you hostage is just troubled and with the right amount of love will become a prince. I'm sorry to break it to you but that is THE recipe for toxic relationships.
That's what got other couples into the list, like Anastasia and Christian or Carrie and Big. Your partner does not change just become you love them; hell not even because they love you. It just doesn't work like that. That's literally why domestic violence survivors stay in their marriages/relationships: they keep believing their monsters will change for them.

Danny and Sandy are toxic because Sandy is forced to change herself because she was made fun of and ridiculed for being a virgin and a prude. Danny forced himself onto her at the drive in and then acted all surprised when she didnt like it. Danny abandoned Sandy at the dance and didnt ask her if that was ok. Danny acted like a douche to her in front of his friends to appear cooler. While Danny did do some effort to please Sandy, as soon as he sees her completely made up as a bimbo greaser chick, he ditches the letterman jacket and goes back to the way he was because Sandy became a trophy for him to parade and show off. The whole time Danny talked about Sandy and their summer romance with his friends, he was amused and seemed to play up the narrative that he violated her and that she put up a fight he seemed to only care that Sandy was a girl crazy for him. Sandy couldnt be herself without being criticized and ostracized by almost everyone until she changed herself to please Danny and his friends.

To all the people who are saying that Belle/Beast isnt Stockholm syndrome clearly wasnt listening to what was said about it on the list, also even if Beast/Belle isnt Stockholm syndrome still doesnt change that there is definitely some toxicity, frankly, Beast isnt that much different from Gaston, they both have tempers, yell at Belle, and they both lock up Belles dad, also the Beast never faces any repercussions for holding two different people hostage for literally no reason, and just because Belle can wander around the castle does not mean she isnt a hostage, she cant leave the castle ever, the Beast expects her to stay in the castle forever, Belle is still a hostage.

If baggage equates with toxicity in your dictionary, its better if you never marry or commit to any kind of relationship. No matter how heavy the baggage, true love can carry it if both partners are willing to share the load. (Im not talking about abusive relationships, because true love cannot be mutual in such an environment. Carrying the baggage is a vital part of what marriage is. Being willing to accept the flaws along with the positive qualities. Its not going to be all fun like the movies portray, there is much more strife and work. But its worth it if true love exists there. And theres more to love than physical chemistry.

I know a few real-life cases where a wife murdered an abusive husband, using methods that were truly horrific. All the violence they committed to her thrown right back at them in a single, terrifying act. And one can only feel they are getting their just desserts.

If Belle is supposed to be this woman born in the wrong generation, whois so smart and an inventor who wanted to get out of her small village then why did she just instantly give up her hopes and dreams to marry a man she barely knew? Belle and Beast are not toxic lmao. The Beast actually made an effort to be better for her. Not to mention Belle fell in love with him despite his flaws (one of them obviously being his physical appearance. Those are two pretty big signs of a healthy relationship, actually.
