I am coming across this for the first time. It definitely sounds like at the least there is financial abuse going on here. Britney will need a strong advocate and a good attorney. But, a conservatorship can be broken that way. I honestly can not comment on what I think about the state of her mental heath. I have a little experience and basic knowledge but have not followed this like many of you guys. She does seem to act very child like in what I did see. It could very Well be a side effect of medication or even wrong meds or too many meds. Lots of variables here. Also this human being has been considered a brand to her father. With Britney being the most successful of the 3 it only makes sense for him to keep her under control and only let her out to bring home the bacon. It might be safe to say she was his cash cow for years only wanting to ride her coat tails. That with constant media exposure 24/7 could have contributed to the event that led up to this situation today difficulty and exploitationt can lead to dysfunction as an adult. Especially a young adult. In no way am i or would I ever be able to make a comparison but I know first hand what a childhood with a lot of or constant turmoil of many kinds can definitely lead to some issues as an adult. unfortunately she was a huge asset to her family. There is the Coogan Law that protects child stars from financial and only financial abuse from their parents or guardians, management, producers, etc. Unfortunately this began ( that is known of ) when she was an adult. I am not sure if there are laws to protect adults from this. Anyone involved in saving this poor woman. Will have a fight on their hands and with some names I read in comments involved in this disgusting act of greed and blackmail many may not wanna touch this one. Evil, rich, and due to their wealth very powerful. I hope she gets the help she needs and deserves. m

Britney was such a happy teen when all started until she got marry, after that all felt apart. Kevin and the dad have destroyed that woman mental health year after year! I do believe she is being giving medication/treatment that she dont need and is making her worse so they can easily control her for her money. the saddest part is that the law system in USA allows this to happen lol how disgusting is that! She is an strong woman! But she knows the court room is not on her side and the minute she start to punch back her kids will be taken away I believe thats the reason why she have let this to happen this long but they are growing up at some point they will 16 and the threats will end and thats how the true will come out to light. My only question is: where is her mum in all this? Does she loves her at all? I really dont get it Cos if this were my child I would still be beating the shit out of anyone who wants to touch my child.

Its weird how all the sudden everyone thinks Lynn is some hero. During the breakdown she wrote a tell all exposing Britney and really personal and intimate details about her childhood. While I dont doubt her dad is shady as hell, Lynn was the driving force behind doing absolutely anything to make sure her little show pony of a daughter made money for the family. I dont trust either Lynn or Jamie at this point. She is clearly just trying to save face. If she truly cared why has it taken this long for her to get involved? Why wouldnt she work to end this sooner? It took fans breathing down her neck for her to act.

Nurse here: the ONLY time people get admitted to a mental health hospital against their will is when they are assessed (by a psychiatrist) to be a threat to themselves or others. Lots of famous people have been admitted against their will for suicide attempts or overdoses. Everything does seem kind of off, but it is possible that she is severely mentally ill from abuse and stress and actually does need a caretaker 24/7 and psych meds. Either way her situation is absolutely terrible, reminds me of Judy Garland and Marilyn.

There is nothing more frustrating that wanting to be free and still being treated like a child. Let her have her life back. How do people learn, by making mistakes. That being said, I think she is fine and her father is the one that needs to be looked at. Could you imagine being an adult and people controlling you? I believe there is a lot more going on her that you think. Everyone should be looking into mind control because it is E V E R Y W H E R E! Yes, everywhere. Its starts in elementary school.

You can be held against your will if they fear you might hurt yourself or someone else. I have been involuntarily committed, so has my mom and sister. She's getting help, how could people be mad about that? If she is refusing to take her medicine, that could cause a lot of problems. I really love Britney and I think there is a lot more to this story. I just want her to get her head on straight and prove everyone wrong.

People who understand what bipolar disorder is would not say Free Brittany. People who have that disorder often make a complete fool out of themselves when theyre off medication and they make horrible business decisions. I truly believe whoever has her in treatment is doing it out of love. Yes we want the old Brittany back but we want the healthy Brittany.

It's so messed up because there's a MTV interview where Britney expressed that she didn't want to be one of those people that are prisoner in their own home with no freedom and not be able to drive and just go whenever she wanted. What has always made me mad is that she is too sick to have custody of her children and control her own money. But she is not too sick to work? It's not a question of whether she is or is not held against her will. But whether it is appropriate and safe for her to be able to do what she wants. Sounds like it is not and she hasn't even fully acknowledged she is sick. Without knowing the full details it's hard to say how well or not well she is.

Any help she needed did NOT have to come at the cost of her personhood. Its very scary to think someone can just file some paperwork on you, a grown adult, during a low point in your life and you just have to take it for over a decade.
