Speculating here (and I don't like the first film, but the second one looks promising):
Elsa is an adopted or magically conceived child. Initially the king and queen thought they couldn't have a child and made a pact with the beings of the unseen or nether world. The trolls are go-betweens for that world and ours. Like many couples that finally have a child and stop 'trying' so hard, they then had Anna. The other world was promised something that they have not yet received because the king and queen died before they could make good on the promise and now that world's inhabitants (giants and so forth seen in the trailer and remember that you're dealing with a culture who had Germanic or Norse influence) are looking to reclaim Elsa or at least the magic that was used to create her and are tearing at the boundary between our worlds in order to do so. That sequence with the standing stones is very similar to what we also saw in Brave and is a reference to a very ancient belief about being able to travel between realms using stones with certain runes carved into them standing upright and in a circle acting as a primitive teleportation system in theory.
Again, not a fan of the first film and just speculating, but Elsa's story could have some elements similar to Loki's in being more than the race that raised them and having powers sought after by other races.

Though it's not likely, I really hope Anna has powers of fire. In the beginning of the movie Frozen, she's kind of the opposite of her sister; she's super bubbly and happy while Elsa is. not.
Also, did anyone else notice immediately in Frozen that when Anna thawed, her white streak disappeared? Maybe the spell the trolls cast combined with Elsa's strike as a kid stopped her powers from surfacing. But now they are, and she can't control them.
This could also mean the trolls did that intentionally. Think about it. They tried to show Elsa that fear of her powers would destroy her, trying to get her to control them. But what if they never wanted her to use them? If they also blocked off Anna's powers, maybe they are the villains. And if they controlled Hans, they were the previous villains.
This might be totally confusing and really far-fetched, but it's a Disney movie. Anything could happen!

Hans was pretty heroic until after Fixer Upper.
No, no, no. The whole song Love Is An Open Door spells out what Hans is planning! This whole Hans really did love Anna! The trolls changed him BS needs to stop. I mean.
Hans: I've been searching my whole life for a place to belong (sung as he gestures towards Arendelle.
And later;
Hans: You (meaning Anna)
Anna: And I (meaning herself)
Both: Were just meant to be!
And then when he's at Elsa's castle he tries to kill her in a way that will make it will like an accident. AND! When Anna left to go find Elsa, Hans only protested until Anna was like, Hans is in charge, at which point Hans did a 180.
There's more, A LOT more to this, but while the trolls may not be good guys, they did NOT turn Hans evil. He was that way from the start.

Most of the theories are pretty silly, but the ones on climate change and the further involvement of Norse mythology have, in my view, the greatest credibility. I think that this film will feature Elsa more than Anna, since so much of the last film was actually focused on Anna. The idea of the flashback is interesting, but I don' t think it is so. The girl in the clip has darker skin color than the Queen and her face is differently shaped. The information about the runes is fascinating. The runes seem to depict sentiments and feelings that come more from Elsa's past, but maybe there is another being in the film who is suffering in the same way that Elsa was and needs to be saved.

In the broadway production of frozen (currently at the st. james theatre in new york) at the beginning they intend that anna and elsas mother has/had a connection to the folk people (the mysterious group thats a more hisorically accurate version/vision instead the rock trolls in the movie) possibly that elas mom is a folk person herself and that left the clan to be with anna and elsas father. And of course the folk people have powers to remove the memories in annas head which leads to intend elsa inherited the powers (or at least a different variation of them) from her mother.

Omg! Everything on this list i believe can be true! Although that's interesting to hear about the trolls! Omg! U know how badly, we want a kristanna wedding! I do! I really believe Anna and Elsa's parents are alive and that the mom has certain abilities that are passed down to her daughter! I was right! The runes from the poster and trailer remind me sooo much of brave! I knew it! Hmmm i wonder more about hans now, if he truly is a villian or not! I can't wait to find out if these theories are true! (Also if Rapunzel has a relation)

Theory 8 is utter nonsense! Disney actually finally tries to put trolls in a helpful role, not evil role in the original 2013 film. Unlike most troll characters who are treated as villains in stories for centuries, these well-meaning Rock Trolls were trying to give advice that sometimes was taken the wrong way. Fear will be your enemy was taken to mean, Keep Elsa away from People when the trolls meant for it to have Elsa learn to find emotional support in her family.

I love the mysterious nature of this trailer and I LOVE learning about new mythologies. I stated my theory in your previous video, and the part of my theory that Elsa created the diamonds seems to have validation as you said nothing is as it seems. I still believe that Anna and Elsa were separated at some point and Elsa created the diamonds to send a message letting her sister know that she was okay. I am SO EXCITED!

'There was an idea, Disney knows this, called the Princesses Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable young women, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles we never could, to inspire girls throughout the world. '

It would just be awesome if frozen 2 revealed that all Disney canon movies were connected! It'd be a true revelation and it truly has the potential to be as crazy and brilliant as Ralph breaks the internet. Which I personally liked more than the first movie.

As long as they don't re-use (Too much of) the back story they made for ONCE Upon a Time Frozen Arc. That changed backstory worked for the Live action TV series and should remain its own what if alternative history and outcome

#10 is absolutely ridiculous! i'm all for the environment but it will probably be less about the environment and more about female empowerment/the power of family (both by blood and the family we choose or in Olaf's case create)

The theory of the girls' parents going to Rapunzel's wedding does not make any sense, cuz in that time rapunzel would be just too young as Ana and Elsa, cuz they have the same age at Elsa's coronation.

They kidnapped Kristoff I mean it was vague but I'm pretty sure the beginning of Frozen alluded to Kristoff not having parents and him and Sven being alone. So. not kidnapping lol.

It makes more sense if the trolls did something to enchant Hans and cause his attitude change. Because if Hans killed Elsa and Anna, there's no way he would inherit their kingdom.

I think the horse could be a Hippocampi from Greek mythology because Posiedon created horses from the crest of the waves so it could be either Norse or Greek. That's my theory.

I don't know why the directors are planning to give Elsa a girlfriend. She is perfect on her own. And Anna would be the only love of Elsa. The set of siblings are so adorable.

#4 Identity Of The Girl and Boy
I still think the girl and boy are Gerda and Kay from the tale of The Snow Queen; which Frozen is loosely based on.

Star wars: no ones really gone
Frozen: the past is not what it seems.
Could we see lots of 'dead' characters coming back. I hope so

How many times do we have to make it clear that Tarzans parents do not look like Anna and Elsa's parents! Tarzan's mom is way younger.
