most of these plotholes aren't very holey the reason angels still look like their vessels in heaven is for the audience watching. How the hell are the people working on the show gonna accurately portray what angels look like with the limited cgi and show what actors are playing the angels. The reason Jimmy could hold all these powerful people possessing him is because he's not Jimmy anymore. They explained that Jimmy died some time ago and Cas was brought back as Jimmy, he just looks like him but there's no remnant of him there meaning Cas was the one being possessed and since he isn't human he doesn't need to give permission and he could hold up a lot better than than humans can. as for the Empty, that was the whole point of the storyline, that Cas wasn't meant to be awake but he was. It isn't exactly explained but for some reason Cas was awake in the Empty which is why he managed to annoy it so much The Empty let him go and brought him back to life. It was never explicitly stated that monsters have souls which is why they get their own afterlife in Purgatory. and even if they have souls they wouldn't be the same as a human soul. Just because the brothers die a lot never means they think its not permanent, as you pointed out there is always some new way they find to bring them back but until its discovered the boys are left with thinking their brother really is gone. Dean not eating in Purgatory makes sense because he's technically dead, and if you want to be picky i saw a post talking about how he could've shaved with his knife. I wouldn't call Adam a plothole per say considering they do reference him frequently throughout the multiple seasons of the show but I will agree its something that's bugged me how they were just so chill with leaving their baby brother to rot in hell and seems very uncharacteristic.

1) The angels use their vessels because they still need them to actually do stuff that they are unable to do while in their true forms such as interacting with earth
2) The cops have stopped going after the Winchesters since they are effectively dead to the public
3) Jimmy was killed and Castiel was still within Jimmy's vessel therefore Cass fused with said vessel
4) God likely did know Gabe was alive but lied because. He's god and that's his thing. Or he genuinely couldn't sense Gabriel
5) Amara most likely didn't know who was older Mike or Lucifer
6) The Empty assumed it had complete control over the empty but it didn't and even it was surprised by this knowledge
7) The souls within purgatory weren't genuinely being killed if I am not mistaken they are passing onto heaven and/or hell from their time in purgatory to cleanse their souls after being turned into monsters by Eve or her offspring/creations
8) The Winchesters are just unable to genuinely stay dead and Death himself didn't see much point in getting in the way since he understood how important it was that both Winchester brothers remained alive. Or coming back to life
9) Ruby's knife had been created and enchanted with incredibly powerful spell work which granted it more power than an average demon meaning it could kill other demons
10) The Winchesters never forgot Adam they just didn't see much point in talking about him since they couldn't do anything to help him without risking Lucifer or Micheal escaping the cage
I don't mean to sound like a dick it just seemed like any new viewers that came to this video could use some help understanding these plot holes even though they have pretty easy explanations that you probably wouldn't noticed

But I mean you missed a few actually good ones. For Example: The Archangel Blade we're led to believe the Archangel Blade is the only thing that can kill an Archangel. If this were true, Lucifer would've known that when he stabbed Gabriel with a regular Angel Blade.
Also The Archangels It is said that there are 4 Archangels in existence. And also when a prophet is in danger, that the archangels will come to destroy whatever threat there is. But Lucifer is in the Cage, Gabriel is M. I. A, Michael is Michael, so that leaves Raphael. Yet when chuck is in danger, Cass said It's the Archangels as if there was a swarm of them. Where are most. there were 2, the bare minimum of plural.

Angels are in their vessels because 1st we are lesser beings (according to Zachariah) to see their true form. 2nd if Angel's and demons were to be in their actual form, we won't be able to distinguish between them, they'll just be black and white smokes.

10. the vessels thing mainly goes down to the fact eric kripke has repeatedly said they never had the budget they wanted in their heads to show off what these creatures looked like ranging from angels, demons, werewolves and shapeshifters and could only show snippets of their true forms
4. the souls probably just die as in cease to exist

A lot of the stuff that doesn't make sense in the show like them not being recognized (even though they are not wanted because they are considered dead) or no one checking into their fake IDs is explained when they show God has been fixing all the small stuff for them because they are the heroes of his story. Once they piss off god he takes that away and they start having normal people problems until they get the goddess of luck to give them the luck of heroes.

As for Lilith fearing Ruby's knife back in season 3, I don't think it was the knife she was afraid of but rather Sam himself. Lilith seemed terrified of Sam being immune to her white light.

The Colt is a bigger plothole than all of these combined.
They didn't use it to kill Eve, the Leviathans or Abaddon. Crowley wanted all of them dead and knew where the Colt was all along, so there is no reason he wouldn't want to use it or give it to the Winchesters for that purpose. I highly doubt that they were all immune to the Colt and that Crowley knew about that beforehand, given he didn't even know about Lucifer's immunity.

The reason the Angels use their vessels even in Heaven is because if they temporarily abandon them, they might not get the consent they need to possess them again - their hosts might have a change of heart, effectively screwing them over lol
Jimmy Novak is dead - its effectively Castiels body and since Castiel consented, it probably lets Lucifer possess it.

Chuck says i've rebuilt Castiel more times than i can remember - Cas wasnt resurrected from the Empty, he was rebuilt from scratch. There are probably multi Cas souls sleeping in the Empty and only once was one actually resurrected, when Jack woke him up.

The one of Gabriel can be explained with Chuck's arrogance. I mean as he already said he knows everything so he already knew that Michael was not crazy just switching between Adam and Himself. Also as we saw, he revived lilith with no problem, so reviving Rafael was an option too but he decided that he just needed Lucifer, after all he is his favorite

There is a major plot hole in the episode where dean pulls a back to the future meeting his dad a lot younger. When the waiter asks john how his dad was doing he said hes fine but when dean and sam meet their grandpa it turned out that john last saw his dad when he was 5 I think.

Maybe when thy died in Purgatory, their souls returned to them right there, after a while, like the episode of The Fairly Oddparents, Unwish Island, when Timmy wished something away, it disappeared for a while, but eventually returned to Unwish Island where it is supposed to end up.

#5 when Gadreel healed Cas, Cas was human so it was just an angel resurrecting a dead human. Also later on in season 15 (after this video was posted) its confirmed that Chuck definitely has power to bring angels and demons back from the Empty. for example Lucifer and Lilith.

Jimmy's body was enhanced when rebuilt by God/Chuck after it was destroyed on the molecular level by Lucifer.
I don't know about the Amara one my one attempt calling Lucifer the first son.
It has bothered me that they never gave Adam a sustained thought for years.

The true vessel thing only seemed to apply to archangels ( Actually it was only clearly stated that that applied to Lucifer and Michael, but, it would make sense to apply to the other archangels. Also, remember that Castiel's body has been rebuilt by God( more than once.

The biggest plot hole is Bobby. Sorry to say it, but when Bobby is intruduced to the show in season 1 or 2, they barely know each other. Later when he dies he shares memories of playing Baseball with Dean. I love the character but that is a massive plot hole.

I never understood the whole Crowley's bones thing. Like, arent demons spirits that posses a vessel? Then how did burning Crowley's bones damage him and how did crowlys vessels bones become just bones while he is walking around with thw vessel making deals? lol

Tbh I really think that Chuck isn't really God. Because remember he is a writer, writers lie. But that's just a theory I got and I have seen that some people think that too but I don't know. That's why I think that Chuck doesn't know about Gabriel

Only thing I'm griping about is that somehow Bobby of all people got possessed by a demon back in season 5.
He should've had a charm too on him since he knows that he can get posessed but idk just suddenly became careless or plot hole?

When dean goes back in time when he is sent by cas someone says say hello to your old man to john. Henry was stuck in the future and died seasons later and dean thought he was a dead beat. That plot hole always stuck out to me.

I think the Lucifer as First thing isn't that big of a deal. She doesn't say first created. She says first, perhaps the only thing He truly cares about. I think that is fairly easily explained as favorite as opposed to first in time.

What about Sister Jo/Anael managing to somehow make a deal with Ruby, despite the fact Ruby was killed YEARS before Anael fell to Earth with the other angels. Just a silly excuse to get the guys wives in a scene together.

The reason they probably left them in their vessels the (angels and demons) is so the viewers could know who they were watching with it not having to be said who they were plus cuts back on having to hire new actors as well.

#2 Lilith feared the demon killing knife because her death was the final seal to release Lucifer from the cage. At that point in time Dean hadnt spilled innocent blood in hell yet which was the first seal to start it all.

Major plot holes are them not knowing how to tie a knot, leaving their prisoners unguarded, or too trust worthy and gets snuck up on constantly.
Almost every other episode someone is tied up and tortured lol

When its just angels interacting in heaven, they show their human forms because thats what we as viewers know them as. If they showed them as some spiritual entity we wouldnt know what the hell is happening lol.
