Mystery
In the theatre community is is VERY True that you do NOT say the title of the Scottish Play (and yeah, you can address the actor in this role while on stage. I am McDuff, having arrived via the same loophole. The other moments of genius from Miranda is that he specifically nods to classic musicals of Broadway, again, recognizing the American composers who proceeded this wholly American show. Layfette: C'est Moi (Lancelot's introduction in 'Camelot') Burr: You Have To Be Carefully Taught (Cable in South Pacific -- an entire song of how we are inducted into hate and prejudice simply based on appearance) Both South Pacific and Hamilton arrived at turbulent times: Hamilton; s very nature turns when the American Colonies will become the FIRST colonies to break from their Sovereign Nation. That it is performed at the Richard Rodgers theater made that much more of an OH YES! moment. South Pacific was adapted from James Michener's novel Tales of the South Pacific, a huge bestseller in the aftermath of WW II and sparked the Polynesian/Tiki Bar, Restaurant craze of Mid-Century suburbia) I honestly almost stood up and cheered in that moment, and yes, Miranda borrowed these well-known lyrics from other shows as an amazing tribute to all of Broadway. Together we'll make history. he did, and does, and the show never forgets ANY of its history. It made me proud that I had been an actor in several musicals, and pulled me into my career as a television writer. He wrote a magnificent show about the people who looked forward to fight for freedom, without ever forgetting the past that led Hamilton to join the elite circle of Broadway Royalty. You did a great job on this. Miranda is a genius (he's also a super-geek Star Wars nerd, so I give him extra points for that)

I have three things to point out:
1. ( 10: 32 )I was always under the impression that it is Chris Jackson who bows his head, not Washington, as the fact that The Father owned slaves always bugged him.
2. Its mentioned that The Bullet hands Burr the quill in Your Obedient Servant, as a way to foreshadow the death of Alex, but not mentioned how it is Mariah Reynolds who hands Ham the quill for the Reynolds-pamphlet.
And 3. Ariana Debose isnt always The Bullet in the show. At 9: 51 in the video you mention Sally, who was played by Debose.

Fact: If you look closely in the background during Satisfied, you can see one of the male actors cough. It is because he had a grandmother who died of tuberculosis. I think that its because during one of the parts of Satisfied is when his grandmother would cough.
Also I saw a video and it explained that Alexander leading Eliza to the front of the stage and her looking at the audience indicates that Alexander is saying Look. Ive told your story. and I think that her gasp at the end is of pure shock.

Ive watched so many musicals over more than 30 years, many multiple times as there is often things to can appreciate anew, but Hamilton is just brilliant, the amount of subtle intricacies it contains is incredible. I seen the live performances and the video more times than I can count but each time am able to take something new away that creates greater appreciation than before. The thought that was put into this production was beyond genius.

9: 00 -- Daveed Diggs certainly commands the stage. This 67-year-old white Southern woman knew absolutely zilch about Diggs and his work, but when I saw _Hamilton_ on Disney+, I was absolutely knocked out by his performance. He has an amazing stage presence. What impressed me more was the fact Lin-Manuel Miranda, as the creator and star, seemed more than willing to cede him the spotlight. Good golly, but Diggs has charisma!

Another thing you missed about the bullet is that and I know him she comes up to the king and whispers to him and later in cabinet battle Alexander Hamilton says that the king head is in a basket would you like me to take it out and ask it then he says in a funny voice do whatever you want I'm super dead interpreting the king. Did you notice this in Hamilton like if you did

It's good that you bring up the final gasp at the end from Eliza. From the recording, I always interpreted it as her looking back on all she had done and becoming emotional as she reminisced. However, when I saw it LIVE, the gasp was done so differently it was almost as if the gasp was her last breath at the end of a long life. It was a beautiful and sad moment

We watched this in 5th grade as part if our American History class. The students became caught up in the history, the songs, the structure of the production and the issues. They went around campus humming the songs and using the catch phrases. This prodution made both history and modern day social issues more understandable & immediate.

I don't think when Eliza is looking at the audience that she's seeing her story I think like in The world was wide enough how Hamilton sees all of his friends and loved ones that he has lost on the other side I think this is showing her dying and what this whole song is about her living out her life off without Hamilton

The bullet thing is mind blowing! One thing I cannot wrap my head around is why the ensemble member playing Sally is the same person who plays the bullet. Am I just overthinking or is there reason behind it? Im not that great at history and couldnt find anything about a bullet ending the life of Thomas Jefferson. HELP!

one that always struck me: In Aaron Burr, Sir, the first person to speak after Burr sings Fools who run their mouths oft wind up dead was Lawrence. Then, in My Shot, after Burr sings You've got to be carefully taught; if you talk, you're gonna get shot, the next to speak is Hamilton.

Sally was 14 while Jefferson was 44.
Also, George Washington? Of course he didn't do shit to eradicate the slavery. He was a solid defendant of it! He went with the rebels because the brittish wanted to do it.
Not saying that the brittish empire was the goodies here, btw

This style of theater is very Brecht. It is very simple and it tells people that they are indeed watching a play. We did this during production of Peter/Wendy earlier this year at our high school. Our costumes were simple and we never once changed the set.

When you realize that Peggy was said that she loved Hamilton to but yet it never gets mentioned about. I also think that the same actor for Peggy became Moriah Reynolds later on, (Idk what this is supposed to show exactly, also tell me if I'm wrong)

2: 08 Nope, the superstition is saying the name of the show, not the name of the man it was named after. 2: 03 Without my having to name the play. They think me Macbeth.
Edit: I commented this before the video mentioned the caveat.

As a Production Design student, this is exactly what I study for: depth and reason. Doesn't matter if the audience get to understand for the first time, but it would give more sentiment as to why every move and every item exists.

Fun fact! What i heard about Elizas gasp is that when Hamilton walks back on the stage, its actually Lin playing as himself. He shows Eliza the audience representing that he told her story. Thats why she gasps at the end!

13: 21 In my opinion/theory, there's a song called 'History has it's eyes on you', right? So here, Eliza sees the audience and is in shock because history really did have its eyes on them. The entire time.

I think Eliza's gasp is related to how Eliza Hamilton died in her sleep so her last words are unknown, and some people who die in their sleep tend to gasp as a final breath.

Mabye Eliza gasped at the audience because shes seeing the millions of people whod share her story, hear ther story and who cared enough to come see her story? Just my guess.
