i have the tiniest detail to add. when amy tells jake about her previous captain/ detective in the he said, she said part, there is a clench in jake's jaw. 11: 38 onwards.
a lot of moments of such reveal are coupled with surprise, violent anger or pity or sympathy in the least but his reaction was probably an angry gulp or grinding your teeth together to hold off a tear-- a reaction i have never ever seen from a man in any show especially while being told things he will probably never face.
dont know if this was scripted or momentary but never loved andy samberg more.

This is the most feminist show I've had the pleasure of watching. One of the best things they did is how they didn't pit Rosa and Amy against each other in any way whatsoever despite them being polar opposites. (& most shows would make one better than the other or always show them fighting or competing against each other.
Also, B99 is what I call a true feminist show, not shows like GOT which are feminist on the surface, but in actuality are nothing but internalized misogyny.

In my opinion, Amy was the most feminist in the show. She was viewed as one of the weirdest ones in the group but she embraced herself and never apologize for it, just grew and improved. She was mostly mocked (by Gina or sometimes Rosa) because of her clothes, interests, hobby, and intelligence, and yet she never retaliates and continued to befriend, admire, empower, and inspire the other girls.

I love that the women of the show arent stereotyped. Amy is your loveable nerd and she shows that you dont need to be a man to be though. Rosa is the ultimate badass. She shows that you dont need to take women down to be empowered. Gina is amazing and super hilarious. Shes clever and she shows that you should be yourself no matter what people think.

My funniest moment is when those pathetic woke liberals tell the B99 cast to quit their job because it's a cop show, due the receipt events in US
P. S - Love the show, hope it never ends. And my man Terry, have nothing but love and respect for that man

I love the fact that the show is not afraid to tackle actual issues. Feminism along with many imp topics has unfortunately become a controversial topic but they are not afraid to address it as it was a right thing to do

Why is it that to this reviewer anything that a female character in this show does that's even a little courageous or empowering is feminism, why can't it just be a growth of a person or character and not 'feminism'
reply

This is the only show that uses good, genuine humour and never tries to bring ppl down. I can say this is the only show or sticom(out of all I've seen) that is politically correct.
I love Noine-Noine!

I love how many feminist moments are in b99. It's such a good show, it's hilarious and has amazing storylines. But it also has a diverse cast and tackles important social issues in such a genuine way.

The English language can not fully capture the depth and complexity of my thoughts, so Im incorporating emojis into my speech to better express myself. Winky face

I love this show because it shows how women are a force to be reckoned with. It just shows a true testament and the power of what women can do.

Announcer, pro tip: Stop saying what the characters say, then play them say it. Honestly, your commenting can be muted. Just play the scenes.

Unpopular opinion - gina is so annoying, shes also very empowering but she acts like shes above everyone and sometimes it's a bit obnoxious

I've been a Melissa Fumero fan since she was on ONE LIFE TO LIVE. She's a good actress, and nobody could play Amy Santiago as well.
reply

I never thought this show is one with a feminist agenda.
Maybe its because women don't scream men suck and men don't yell women suck.

reply

I love how all the women support each other and none of them follow the not like other girls trope which is sadly so so common.
