I admit there were a lot of great villain songs in this list, but many that were left out too. I'm glad that Into the Woods was mentioned because I love that song as well. But I feel like many Disney songs were left out that were memorable too. Like Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective, My Lullaby from Pride Rock also was a great villain song in my opinion, Savages and Mine, Mine, Mine from Pocahontas was also very chilling and telling. Also others such as Feed Me from Little Shop of Horrors are also very catchy. I mean I feel like Villains have some of the best songs. XD

I almost teased my grandma (in a nice way, and I was hyped up on caffeine, about the Ursula line, when I'd see her just standing in a doorway of the house:
You mustn't lurk in doorways, it's rude. One might even question your upbringing. Okay, somehow this quote gets me to at least crack a smile, although if I said it to anyone other than family. well, I'd say it's safe to presume that conversation, would not end well for me. So I do what any wise person would do, and I use some other movie quote! But one that people can (and do) actually take in the right light

The top Catchiest Villain Songs that I recognize and enjoy listening to are Friends on the Other Side from The Princess and the Frog, Oogie Boogie's Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Cruella De Ville from One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Be Prepared from The Lion King, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, Hi-Diddle-Dee-Dee from Pinocchio, Mother Know Best from Tangled, Trust in Me for The Jungle Book and Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid

I never really considered the witch in Into the Woods a villain. Even the so-called heroes in the story weren't necessarily nice people, and they were willing to do what it took to get what they wanted. The witch just pointed out that they'd brought a lot of their current problems on themselves, and no one wanted to hear it.

I'm seeing comments with the very two I was going to mention -- In the Dark of the Night and Hellfire. I was going to be super peeved if Poor Unfortunate Soul didn't make the list, but since it did, I can be calmed knowing the other two that should have made the list didnt.

I think Other Friends or Drift Away would be my favorites. One is catchy, anger-fueled, and has one of the best choruses I've heard in any musical number, while Drift Away is a heartbreaking masterpiece that really shows how mentally scarred Spinel is due to her abandonment.

This is a fun list, but Gaston absolutely should have been higher. In the Dark of the Night from Anastasia would be a great choice, and I continue to hold that the Spaceballs Theme needs far more love on lists like this one.

I love the song/movie, but I don't think Sweet Transvestite should've been on here, because I don't really think Frankenfurter was a villain. He's definitely not on the same level as the other entries.

My favorite villain song is 100% I need a hero from shrek 2 no other good shrek villains sing even tho shrek is like the opposite of Disney stories but who thought fairy godmother would sing that

Poor Unfortunate Souls and Be Prepared definitely battle each other for the best Disney Villain song.
Although lately Ive been humming I Wanna Be Like You a lot.

shaking the hands of friendly guy with an awkwardly overlarged creepy smile seems fine until he say yes and started dancing and doing summersaults around you

It is not a Disney song, but the song We Burn by Sabaton is probably one of my favorite villain songs, albeit something of a guilty pleasure, to be honest.

I would have added all (or any) of the songs from the soundtrack of Rob Zombie presents: The haunted world of El Superbeasto on the honorable mentions.

They were in the Amazon forest, not the Australian forest.
Be Prepared is a favorite as is Git It (Feed Me) from Little Shop of Horrors.

reply

Not your typical villainous song but I like Youve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two or I'm Reviewing the Situation by Fagin (Ron Moody) from Oliver!

The honorable mention of Trust in Me doesnt fit in with Catchiest villain songs.
And that Python transformed into a source for fanfic

I was certainly surprised with the song that seemed to have been missed, when I did not hear You're a mean One Mr Grinch on this list.

Frank N Furter and Hexxus. Both are crazy villains portrayed by Tim Curry and Sweet Transvestite and Toxic Love are both epic songs
reply

One of my favorite villain songs is Make It Mine from Sesame Street's The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland sung by Mandy Patinkin
reply

Jim Cummings took over in Be Prepared because Jeremy Irons had vocal problems at the time, and his voice gave out toward the end
reply

Personally I dont think Be Prepared shouldve been so high on the list. And I think Shiny from Moana shouldve made the list.
reply

I can't Wait to see Melissa McCarthy sing Poor Unfortunate Souls in upcoming Live Action Little Mermaid. I Hope she'll do great.
reply

Evil like me from the first descendants movie will always hold a special place in my heart as far as villain songs go
reply

How can You're a mean one Mr Grinch NOT be on this list? With Tony the Tiger (Thurl Ravenscroft) singing? Come on, Man!
reply

Hellfire definitely shouldve been on the list. I love little mermaid but I wouldnt say thats the best villain song.
reply

I like Mother knows best but, Be prepared is such a cool song. Maybe its just because I have seen it over 50 times
reply

In The Dark of The Night should be on the list but for a truly catchy villain song, I'd probably have to say Shiny
