Just a reminder: Bristol Palin made it all the way to the semi-finals after surviving elimination as the bottom two contestants against the singer-actress Brandi, who was by far a better dancer. The crowd (and even some of the show's pro dancers) audibly gasped when Brandi was eliminated that week instead of Bristol. Bristol wasn't as good a dancer as some of the celebrities voted off the show before she was, and people were clearly voting for her only because she was Sarah Palin's daughter, and not because of her dancing. I suspect that it was because of Bristol Palin's undeserved staying power that Dancing with the Stars started giving its dancing judges a greater say on who stayed and who was eliminated.

i think people were also mad about kim ks appearances on the show too. also when it came bobby. its not that fan alleged his bad sportsmanship. he literally said bad comments on his radio show calling evanna lynch forgettable which is why she would never have a chance of winning. he was just flat out rude. not only was sharna and america shocked but the other couples, judges and hosts were too. that season of dwts as well as some previous ones were so unjust they had to change the show bc people were complaining so so much

My problem with Paula Deen went beyond the racial comments. They bothered me but the woman has a history of saying things that were controversial.
She's said homophobic things in the past too and they paired her with the one gay male pro. it didn't really make any sense and since the pros have no say so in who their is I would be surprised if Louis was uncomfortable with it too.

I had mixed feelings about Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan being on the show thankfully in two different seasons--or I think there would have been a huge issue. Not that I think another clubbing would happen but the controversy would be overwhelming!
Then the ones that have had dancing experience should have not been allowed on. Jennifer Gray from Dirty Dancing. interesting.

I was insanely surprised by Bobby bones winning my dad didn't even want to watch it the next season. also the fact that MacKenzie Zeigler was on here wasn't fair to everyone else. the same way that its not fair for Jojo to be on this season. I mean I'm all for the first same gender couple but I don't think its fair since Jojo has that background of dancing

I can't be the only one who immediately thinks Al Capone's vault when I see anything about Geraldo Rivera. It happens every time, withour fail. He did a great thing when he exposed the horrific conditions, neglect, and rampant abuse at Willowbrook, but after the vault fell flat in 1986 I'm not sure how he still had a career.

In the UK we have had a few politicians over the years. But only when they have not been in politics anymore. None of them have done well, but that is because they are not been good dancers. I don't think ours is as controversial as yours is. We just have the Strictly Curse when dancers get together with their celebrities.

Bobby's win solely came down to his final freestyle performance as you mentioned. The judges gave a perfect 30 for a routine that should've gotten a 21 at best, and then the judges had the audacity to be shocked when he won the mirrorball. The judges are to blame for ruining that season with consistently overscoring Bobby

In a show thats all about the popular vote and seeing how people grow or just watching your least favorite celeb mess up a professional dancer is not giving the people who watch a show cuz why would Heather mess up or be less than stellar. Thats just my opinion agree or disagree.

Bobby should not have been on this list! He is amazing! I've met him twice and he is one of the nicest people I've ever met! He worked SO HARD when he was on the show, and he was the only person in the whole cast that I knew, and I'm SOOOOOOOO HAPPY that he won! He deserves it!

I agree that politicians shouldn't be on the show, but because in my opinion they aren't really stars now are they? When I think of a star I think Hollywood or Broadway not a politician. Heck even a singer is more a star then a politician but that again is just my opinion.

Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat dolls should have at least been the top 2. Girl dances in all her videos and wins the show. But they were okay with Heather Morris getting eliminated. If Heather had been paired with Derek im sure she would have made if farther.

I dont know. I dont mind trained dancers on the show. I just want to watch dancing. And see the cool outfits they come up with. Usually, I dislike dancing and find it cringe but this stuff, for the most part, is pretty cool.

God, I hated the season with Bobby Bones. I had literally never heard of him until that time, and I will never understand why he was so popular. Everything about him and that season of the show ticked me off to no end.

Heather shouldn't be that higher she got like 6th place. Jordan fisher is a disney star on BROADWAY and won the season. I think Jordan should've been on the list he also had a ton of dance experience.
