Except that Walt Disney would not allow the singer who played Snow White to ever be seen to ever have a chance to extend her music career he literally prevented her from ever being known because he did not want to have the illusion of Snow White being a person broken. So typical of the Disney Corporation to ruin a person's life. She wasn't allowed to make any more movies use her Mina when Jack Benny wanted her for his show she wasn't allowed to be on his show for sing on his show because to quote Disney, I'm sorry but that boys can't be used anywhere I don't want to spoil the illusion of Snow White. She never received any acting credit for the other 2 movie she did why because Disney prevented it. Those movies where the Wizard of Oz where she provided the voice of Juliet during the Tin Man song If I Only Had a Heart speaking the line where art thou Romeo, and in 1946 you had an uncredited role yet again in Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life this she was the singer in Martini's bar when James Stewart is praying. The only time she actually made any money was when she got a chance to sign memorabilia for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs but that was during a promotional events. it wasn't until November 1972 Thanksgiving Day to be exact that she actually got to guest star on an episode of Julie Andrews saluting music of Walt Disney singing I'm wishing and Someday My Prince Will Come with Julie Andrews she also had one other time which was a guest appearance with Mike Douglas show the only time her face was actually allowed to be seen and heard caselotti later wrote a book The how to book call do you like to sing. My guess is in 1994 when they finally made her a Disney Legend it was only because of the fact they must have felt really guilty about how they have treated her over the years how Disney himself treated her over the years here is the biggest irony of all in the 1990s shortly before they made her Disney Legends they asked her to come in and rerecord I am wishing for the Snow White Wishing Well exhibit and she was 75 years old at the time. Maybe one shouldn't be surprised the new live remake of Aladdin that Jasmine sings the song that she's going to get out use her voice excetera excetera and nobody's going to stop her from doing so how ironic Disney did just that to the very first actress voice actors to the very first film that they made and that made them a name Snow White, Ms Caselotti would die in 1997 she died of cancer at the age of 80.

I love when will my life begin and think it should be mentioned that it's not just a fun and optimistic song - it is a deep song about the longing of finally really living if you are stuck in a place or feel like something is holding you back from finally living a live you would really reach for - and that is why I love that song so much - the tempo and upbeat is why I love to sing it, but it is the lyrics and meaning of the song that at the same time moves me and I can relate to
and it's amazing that ariel is number one - of the most nostalgic disney songs for me and it really emotionally captures perfectly the want for more

I think this list is affected by millennial nostalgia. Let It Go is the best princess song of all time. We all may be a little sick of this song, especially if you had a daughter of a certain age when this movie came out, but there is a reason it was so popular. If you go back and watch this movie again, the song is perfect. It so perfectly captures an essential emotional and transformative moment in Elsas character journey. And the vocal performance by Idina Menzel was out of this world. It is by far the best.

I personally wonder why Speechless isn't higher on this list. Dreaming of romance isn't the worst thing and I've done my share of that myself but there is so much more to life and more important matters to be focusing on. Like not letting other people dictate your future and fighting for what is important to you despite the circumstances or what anyone else says. That is what this song represents.

I didn't appreciate Hunchback of Notre Dame when I was young - maybe I was too young to appreciate it, but I love it now. I also consider the songs and score of Hunchback to be one of the best to come out of Disney. I personally would have ranked God Help the Outcast higher. I agree with the top two though.

Fun facts: Before LEA SALONGA get to sing A WHOLE NEW WORLD (ALLADIN, the song PART OF YOUR WORLD was her Audition song and paved her way to become one of iconic singer of Disney Princesses. And after the successful ALLADIN, she was chosen to sing REFLECTION (MULAN) and the rest is history.

I know technically Merida didnt sing the songs but I loved touch sky and into the open air as two good Disney princess songs despite the fact that a lot of people try to say theres no songs in brave when in fact there is and I think at least one of them should of made it into the list

In terms of Value to the Character/Plot, I'd say colors of the wind and reflection are the most beautiful tracks
In terms of pure music and Orchestration I can tell you that SHOW YOURSELF is undoubtedly Disney's biggest masterpiece with Speechless A solid number 2
