About the casting couch: Actors are called actors because they act and as the old axiom goes: There are always three sides to a story and one of them is the truth. Granted, there have been lecherous producers and directors, but there have also been driven to succeed actors and actresses who would do or say anything to get a bigger role or to enlarge the role that they are in. Proof of that is the music industry where rock stars sing about groupies, quoting Bob Seger from Turn the Page Where you think about the woman, or the girl you knew the night before. It's not just the movie or music industry, a girl in college hit my parked car. The accident was clearly and obviously her fault, but two days later my insurance company called, telling me that university police reported the accident as my fault. When I went to the university PD building to complain, in the parking lot out in front of the building I saw the cop that took the report making out with the girl that owned the car that hit mine. The world is full of horrible human beings.

Whenever i have brought up animal abuse in movies, just in conversation, someone inevitably mentions how it doesn’t happen in American movies and then will try to redirect how other countries are worse.
I saw a report years ago about how a certain child stat was pushed into posing in a playboy photo shoot called sugar and spice, by her own mother, when she was just 12. They were so called artistic photos where important areas were covered but her clothing was still missing.

The worst side of the lack of diversity is that now apparently many people think Hollywood should be diverse except for the people who belong to the ethnic group of people who did it That’s like putting every single German in concentration camps after WWII, goddamnit, that’s not how diversity works

The film industry is always full of dark truths, to be honest. The biggest dark truths are Jackie Coogan and the biggest bombshells(white and women of color) of any era who had traumatic childhoods.

Knowing that animals are being mistreated and abused is just terrible. Also, if the trainings are treating animals so badly then there are possibly that they will get attacked by the animals.

Maybe that's why we see a lot of actors/actresses only let their children enter Hollywood when they're of ault age because they know how gruesome the life of teenage and child actors there.

I would not regard no. 7 (having worked in adult films) as shocking as long as those involved were not pressured into it. I don't think any less of them. That's the only exception.

The Mickey Rooney scene from breakfast at Tiffany’s makes me cringe and it’s a shame because it is such a good movie but his portrayal I think hurt the film.
