A Breakfast Club remake should've happened a long time ago in 2010 in dedication to John Hughes' death as well as on the film's 25th anniversary.
Starring:
Bryan Cranston as Richard Vernon (as well as the director, producer, and writer of the movie)
Dan Castellaneta as Carl Reed
Devin Bostick as John Bender
Emma Watson as Allison Reynolds
Jeremy Allen White as Brian Johnson
Josh Hutcherson as Andrew Clark
Kristen Stewart as Claire Standish

I'm with a lot of the people who have commented that this movie does not need to be remade. Granted Hollywood has thing for remaking movies, they have done that for a long time. However, nowadays that seems to be the only thing that Hollywood is doing now and they do it because they are trying to cash in. Let this one stay a classic. Like all old movies, they eventually are discovered and even appreciated by the newer younger audiences.

i so hope they don't remake the breakfast club for you little kids. I hate Remakes. Leave classics alone. Get brains and make up your own movie and stop remaking movies. just saying why all riverdale (i hate that show) cast lol. Paul rudd as the janitor not Ariana's ex lol. I don't like Cole as Bender. the redhead guy is horrible for Andrew. Like come on. but anyways hell no to remakes.

The only actors that I could see playing any of the characters is Jenna Ortega and I think she could pull off a good modern interpretation of Allison or Claire. And I actually agree about Dylan Minette playing Brian. But this movie should never be remade. It's a major classic on its own and remaking it is going to dilute the movie's legacy.

I think Mojo was lazy by casting two of leading cast members of Riverdale for their modern remake of breakfast club, and besides they already experience it in an episode and Riverdale even had two of the original cast members from that movie Anthony Michael Hall for the same episode and Molly Ringwald as Archies mother

The only way to not ruin the breakfast club is not making a remake, but instead, making a sequel. Ive heard from a another comment that creating a sequel named The Dinner Club is a great sequel. With all the original characters still in it as parents to new generations of children (just like them in the breakfast club.

The original film came out in 1985 meaning for 36 years Hollywood was smart enough not to touch this classic, perfect as it is movie. Don't light a fuse nobody wants to see blow up; The Breakfast Club; St. Elmo's Fire; The Goonies and even the movie Lucas are all classics that need to be left alone.

Honestly, I was casting people in the Breakfast Club, it wouldnt be today, it would be back in the the 80s. Most of the cast wouldve pretty much been the same, but Id probably have Scott Baio as Brian and maybe William Zabka as rather John Bender or Andrew.

Eugene Levy is too old for the role. He also is too kind and approachable. You need someone in their 40s that still looks like he at least believes he can still beat up a muscled teenager. Tom Ellis.

The chemistry of the group is more important than the individual portrayals of the characters.
However, The Breakfast Club should not be remade. Its a classic that should be left alone.

The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies, it doesn't need to be remade. True, the new cast is talented, but the original is so iconic and perfect the way it is.

People need to stop thinking and talking about remaking the breakfast club. It is a cult classic and remake could never measure up to the original.

You could never recast the Breakfast Club! It's a timeless classic! It was so perfectly done that any recreation would be a huge letdown!

Stop casting middle twenty almost thirty actors as teenagers. Bring young and new people as they did in Strangers Things or This is Us.

I love how Carl doesn't let the kids push him around but he's also a cool guy to them cause he remembers what it's like to be a teenager.

I completely disagree with these choices, which probably speaks to the fact that the Breakfast Club actors absolutely nailed it!

What made the original film work was that, except for Carl and Vernon, the rest of the cast were TEENAGERS, not twenty-somethings.

I hate these movies that are recasted decades later. All it does is ruin the original. Just make a new movie with a new plot
