The thing I hate about Gray's Anatomy is that absolutely everyone considered a serious character is a Brilliant Surgeon! Nobody on the show could ever be related to, married to or personally interested in any way to, someone who was not a Brilliant Surgeon. Even a long-lost dad who had abandoned a character's family and was eventually found managing a bar in some out-of-the-way vacation spot started out as -- yep, you guessed it, a Former Brilliant Surgeon!
I started out liking the show and many of the characters, but after I realized that nobody who isn't a Brilliant! SURGEON! could be taken seriously as a character, I got bored and stopped watching.
