We want to listen to these I Want Disney movie songs over and over again. Our countdown includes Moana, Hercules, Cinderella, and more! What's YOUR favorite Disney I Want song?

Swap How Far I'll Go with Out There, and I can get down with the order of this list. Having the beautiful signature song from Moana that low is pretty uncool. Conversely, while Out There is a well written song, I can't get over the awkward vibrato of Quasimodo's singing voice. It just bugs me. Plus it followed a Disney musical trend I hated: having a different actor for the speaking and singing voices for characters. Reflection is the only one of those I can truly get behind, and that's because it's just so perfectly written. Auli'i sang her own songs and voiced Moana, and she was incredible at both!
My ranking:
1) How Far I'll Go
2) Part of Your World
3) Reflection
4) Belle
5) Go the Distance

Definitely agree part of ur world is the best of these. Thanks so much for ur video! I was in high school when little mermaid came out and when I was sad i would sing it to myself. Also loved Aladdin too. A whole new world was our senior prom theme and love the one here also after watching top ten songs of Disney movies. Sometimes I sing let it go to myself nowadays as frozen is one of the latest Disney movies out. But loved tangled also. The lion king is also a favorite. The fact that I haven't watched hunchback, Moana, or Pocohontas yet leaves a lot left to inspire me. I never give up cause if Disney doesn't then why should i?

Princess Jorala from my fanon Disney movie, Jorala has one: Somewhere waiting far in space.
Jorala sings this because she wanted to get away, she has a vision of a planet teaming with life, with wonderful creatures and machines, a place where everyone lived in peace and happiness.
Later when she is escaping her captors, the evil Gorgians, Jorala hijacked one of their ships. Once shes getting away, she was hit and she crash landed on earth; a place she visioned of.

While it isnt my favorite, Just Around the Riverbend is so beautiful as her father actually sings the first verse 100% sure Kocuom will make Pocahontas happy and safe. But she emotes how much she wants adventure and something new, the coursing river she chooses symbolizes her free spirit and actually leads her to John Smith, a free spirit just like her. Honestly she kept taking a risk by constantly following him, leading up to their magical encounter.

Whenever Mojo makes a Disney song list - I stop what im doing and watch just to see which songs ranks #1 on the list. Great list. Top favorites: Belle's Reprise, Go the Distance + Reprise, Reflection, Part of Your World, Just Around the River Bend and my all titular top, Out There. Man, you have to hear the entire song that includes Tony Jay and Tom Hulce who play Frodo and Quasimodo's roles so well. One of the best songs Disney has made.

Of course, the gold medal had to be the genius that ignited the renaissance. The lyrics are simply captivating. How I wish Disney would keep the memory of Howard Ashman alive, not just in some credit roll or documentary. After all, he was the man who gave a mermaid her voice, and the beast his soul. After 30 years, may our generation and onward welcome him into our voices and souls. May we become part of his as well.

'When You Wish Upon a Star', from 1940's Pinocchio, is #7 in the American Film Institute's 100 Greatest Songs in Film History and a Christmas Eve staple in Scandinavia (linked to the Star of Bethlehem, among other honours. Similar and a precursor to Cinderella's 'A Dream is a Wish. ', it should be included.

I love the I want songs for Belle and Beast in the musical. I love the Belle (reprise) but its so short!
On the other hand, Home is so beautiful, sad, yet hopeful that somehow things will get better, and If I Cant Love Her is the Beasts mirror to that song.

Underrated I want song, from an underrated movie that I think could have fit well on this list: Im Still Here from Treasure Planet
I love Treasure Planet, its a great movie, with beautiful animation and an amazing I want song.
Anyone agree?

Almost There and How Far I'll Go were 100% better than part of your world, mainly because they aren't sung by a mermaid who's so horny that she's willing to give up her voice. Also, HOW THE HELL WAS JUST AROUND THE RIVERBEND NOT ON THIS LIST!

Into the Unknown (Frozen 2)
Part Of Your World (The Little Mermaid)
A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella)
I Wonder (Sleeping Beauty)
How Far I'll Go (Moana)
Reflection (Mulan)
I'm Wishing (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

Another one I would've put on the Honorable Mentions would be This Place Called Slaughter Race from _Ralph Breaks the Internet_ (Wreck-It Ralph 2) when Vanellope von Schweetz sings about wanting to drive cars and get out of Sugar Rush.
reply

Disney always had I want songs since Snow White but it's only after The Little Mermaid and Part of Your World that that's been the formula ever since; in other words, Ariel walked (or swam) so others like Anna and Elsa could run
reply

The phrase I want has very strong entitlement qualities. A la Veruca Salt in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. These are not I want songs, they are I wish, I dream, I hope songs, not I want. Bad shout MsMojo
reply

Ms mojo definitely has favorite movies lol they are Lion king, beauty and the beast, Aladdin, Mulan, and the little mermaid. There least favorites are frozen encanto, tangled and moana
reply

How does pocahontas full I want song get beat out for even a spot on the top ten list by Belles reprise with one stanza of beauty and meaning? How? I havent been this and for a while. Lol
reply

Glad 'Almost There' is on here 'Princess & the Frog' doesn't get enough love.
So happy 'Out There' is on here, but it should be #1 - it's far superior to 'Part of Your World'

My top 5: Belle Reprise, Out There, Reflection, When Will My Life Begin, Part Of Your World Wouldnt God Help The Outcasts count as an I want some too? Great list Emily.
reply

My Top 5 I Want songs are Part of Your World, Out There, Reflection, Go to the Distance and (not mentioned in this video) I'm Still Here from Treasure Planet.
reply

I like all of these songs, but Reflection, When Will My Life Begin, How Far I'll Go, Part of that World and I Just Can't Wait to be a King are for me the Best.
reply

I love them all I even know all of them except for number four the Hercules one but however I do love them all and I do know most of those songs by heart
reply

All the song in this top 10 are wonderful, but personally i think Just around the riverbend should have gotten more than just an honorable mention.
reply

Say what you like about the Empire of the House of Mouse, there's some strong progressive vibes here. Mulan and The Little Mermaid. Strong stuff!
reply

The best ''I want'' song is definitely Hellfire. Frollo wanted to get laid so bad that he decided to burn down the whole Paris to achieve it
reply

Why should I worry from Oliver and Company should be on the list and and Phil Collins should be number one lol. Go the Distance should be 1 too.
reply

waiting for the updated version of this with waiting on a miracle because its the most UNDERRATED encanto song and deserves appreciation
