Realizing Kidz Bop had done My Immortal just felt wrong. The song covers the topic of a spirit haunting you that just won't go away, unable to heal and move on, but Amy said she had dedicated it to her sister, as she had with a song on every album. THAT is why that feels like such a violation to me. I don't care about the topic itself but taking the dedication and rewriting it into something a child might be able to listen to just violates the entire purpose of the song.

FYI to the Individuals whom are in charge in finding these songs how about listening to the lyrics first lol I don't think anyone wants their child in elementary singing along or seeing them dance to some kids singing clean versions of anaconda by Nicki Minaj or any other songs like wap by cardi b etc lol ty n yes I've heard these 2 songs in kids bop

I absolutely hate the songs Montero (Call Me By Your Name, Toxic, and Love on the Brain. I have now stopped buying Kidz Bop CDs not only because I am now 22, but because they are now releasing year albums. Other songs I think should have been added to this list are Feel Good Inc by Gorillaz and Rumors by Lizzo. Their remake of Toxic on Kidz Bop All-Time Greatest Hits is just as bad as the original Kidz Bop 6 cover.

Maybe I confused it with the fact that the original song won a Teen Choice Award. The Weeknd even mentioned it in a lyric for his song Reminder in his next album (I just won an award for a kids show / Talking 'bout my face numbing from a bag of blow)

I actually dont have a problem with kids singing or listening to Evanescence, I was a kid myself (25 now) when I started listening to it. Bring me to Life is about falling in love and wanting to be with someone and My Immortal, well we can all lose someone we love and go through grief at any age as its a natural part of life unfortunately

This could've been renamed 20+ reasons why I don't play KidzBop for the kids I teach. Everyone told me, Oh, it's fine. They make them kid appropriate, or, It's all songs that are kid friendly. You're overreacting. Now I just show them this video. It speaks for itself.

About the censorship of the love references in Montero, it seems like kidz bop removes most if not all love references, whichever type, so they are consistent in what they censor, they even censored the tattoo in closer and turned it to stress.

Don't know whose the creative one in kidzbob but every song was butchered in inappropriate ways regardless. Just because a song is popular, doesn't mean that kids need to sing it. That's major common sense in any perceptive way.
